PAF pilot highlights how chinese J10C fighters have left US F16's Obsolete

It depends on whose hands the F-16 is in

Pakistan Air Force :
F-16 with 105 km AIM-120C5 air to air Missile

Israeli Air Force : F-16 with 250 km SKY STING air to air Missile
( F-16 + CAEW AEWC + Jammer Aircraft + SKY STING Missile ) a very dangerous combination for the J-10C Fighter Jet

Turkish Air Force also getting new capabilities with the F-16 OZGUR-2 upgrade
( MURAD-100 AESA Radar + GOKHAN-ER ramjet powered BVR Missile up to 300 km )

and Boeing E-7T AEWC to detect the J-10C from 350 km away
also ASOJ-23A stand off jammer Aircraft to paralyze J-10C's radar from 400 km awa
Turkish brother, no need to over-boast about those missiles of yours that are still in PPT. PL17 has a range exceeding 400KM, has been in service for nearly 10 years, and can be used at any time to take out all your air force. E7 is still decades-ago outdated gallium arsenide technology, not worth any boasting.

Sky Sting and G ö khan-ER are not in service. They are PPT!

250km and 300km are only the target ranges set by these projects, not the validated combat ranges.

E-7T discovered J-10C from 350km away, which is the theoretical discovery distance for J-10C bare aircraft. But the J-10C on the battlefield cannot be a bare aircraft. It will have RCS control, electronic warfare, low altitude or lateral entry, data link coordination, and air defense system cover. E-7T cannot actually detect it at this distance, let alone track it at this distance.

Also, don't show off 250km/300km in front of Chinese fighter jets. China has already had missiles significantly exceeding this number. If India really obtains Sky Sting, then new Chinese missiles will appear on Pakistani fighter jets. China's leading position in materials science determines that no country can challenge China in missile range.

The J-10C is in a phase of gradual phasing out within the Chinese Air Force system!
J-10s are still relatively new platforms by fighter aircraft standards, with the legacy J-10A fleet having only around 25 years of service behind it. The J-10C, meanwhile, is a significantly more modern and capable evolution of the platform, incorporating major improvements in avionics, radar, electronic warfare, weapons integration and overall combat capability.

That said, the PLAAF still needs a reliable backbone fighter that can be operated in large numbers without the cost and complexity associated with heavier, more sophisticated platforms. This is where the J-10C fits particularly well. It offers a combination of relatively low operating costs, modern capabilities and sufficient performance to handle a broad range of missions.

In other words, the J-10C does not necessarily have to be the PLAAF's most advanced fighter to be strategically important. Its value lies in providing a capable, relatively economical multirole platform that can be procured and operated in significant numbers. It essentially fills the role of a high-end workhorse for the PLAAF, complementing heavier fighters such as the J-16 and J-20 rather than replacing them.

India has 4 options, ie now the KAI KF-21 Boramae also, with its engine commanality with the Tejas program and Meteor with the Rafale.
The positioning of KF-21 and AMCA is too similar (both using F414 dual engine mid size fake 5G), which will compete for AMCA's resources and affect the development of Indian aviation technology. The Indian government will not choose it.

Bro

Problem is J-10C can not detect the F-16 from 400 km , not even 200 km
You need to use ERIEYE AEWC to detect the F-16 from 350 km away

but , You are unaware of Israeli and Turkish technologies which can paralyze ERIEYE AEWC's Radar

We are not waging a platform war. we are waging a war of systems.

In military literature, no radar system is 100% immune to jamming
Under normal conditions, the ERIEYE AEWC can detect an F-16 at a distance of 350 km. however, when subjected to active ASOJ-23A jamming Aircraft , its detection range can shrink to less than 100–120 km

The ASOJ-23A does not merely blind radars. it also possesses Communications Electronic Attack capabilities. Even if an ERIEYE AEWC manages to detect a F-16, the ASOJ-23A can jamming the tactical data link networks that transmit this information to J-10Cs

so , you can not hit a F-16 from 400 km , not even 200 km against the Israeli or Turkish Air Forces

----------------------------------------------------------------------

btw , currently Boeing E-7T AEWC is the best in NATO and its enough to detect the J-10C from 350 km away

New or old? It is a relative concept.

When we have no other options and are limited to a single platform, we continuously upgrade its technology over many years. Examples include the renowned H-6 bomber, Z-8 helicopter, and Type 59 tank platforms. We have subjected these aging platforms to decades of continuous upgrades. This is not something we wanted, but something we had no choice in. Once we have new options, we will abandon these outdated platforms without hesitation.

Fortunately, thanks to the unremitting efforts of Chinese researchers, we now possess many superior fighter aircraft platforms. Although the J-10C is an excellent fighter platform by international standards, it has lost its value within China.

Regarding the current status of the PLAAF: The J-10A has been completely withdrawn from frontline combat service, with remaining airframes relegated to reserve units or military academies; the J-10B was produced in very limited numbers—some were upgraded to the J-10BG variant for continued service, while others are utilized for research and development; the J-10C and J-10S (currently undergoing engine replacement) remain in active service.

The PLAAF ceased procurement of the J-10 series fighter jets some time ago. At present, CAC manufactures the J-10CE exclusively for export customers, though there may be future demand for the J-10S.

Yes, they are similar but thhe KF21 is here - and we all know India's track record on fighter jet development history to date :)

The success of jammer aircraft in aerial warfare is measured by the extent to which they reduce radar range. Under normal conditions, the ERIEYE AEWC can detect an F-16 at a distance of 350 km. however, when subjected to active ASOJ-23A jamming Aircraft , its detection range can shrink to less than 100–120 km

As of June 2026, the Jilin-1 constellation has launched a total of 162 satellites. Its goal is to compress the revisit interval for any point on Earth to the minute level by 2027. This constellation has previously tracked an F-22 in real time. Your outdated, cumbersome systems are worthless in a truly top-tier war. An E-7T could very likely be destroyed by a PL-17 without even knowing it was coming:

China now has hundreds of radar, optical, infrared, and communications satellites in space. This is a real warfighting system built to counter the United States—yours is just a tactical system. Also, one difference between the J-10CE and the J-10C is the lack of a satellite communication antenna. Under China's system, the J-10C can maintain electromagnetic silence and, with support from the satellite network, easily use PL-17s to wipe out your entire air force.

The detection range of E-7T for J-10C and KJ-500 for F-16 is almost identical.

Western countries have SOJ aircraft, and China also has (Y-9G/Y-9EW).

If there is a system confrontation, the detection range of both sides' early warning aircraft will be compressed from 350km to 150-200km.

In addition, both sides will implement CEA on each other, but Chinese fighter jets have multi-path advantages (Western countries other than the United States do not fully match China's capabilities), including inertial/satellite mid course guidance, frequency hopping/spread spectrum data links, multi aircraft relay command, ground full system radar systems, and so on.

Then both sides returned to the combat mode of "no matter what" after launch, inertial guidance, and active radar at the end, that is, to the missile range competition. In this field, no country can challenge China, even if Sky Sting/G ö khan ER suddenly changed from PPT to a real missile.

The ultimate winner will only be China's J-10C+KJ-500. I haven't even talked about KJ-3000 and PL-17 using gallium oxide radar yet, they are not PPTs.

1 -- J-10C is not a stealth Aircraft as like the F-16V , RAFALE and other 4,5th gen Fighters

2 -- low altitude can not hide the J-10C from E-7T AEWC which flying at 30.000 feet

3 -- Internal or external electronic warfare pods carried on the J-10C can not suppress or blind Boeing E-7T AEWC from a staggering distance of 350 km

As Michael says, 'opportunism is one of the racial characteristics of Indians', and a nation that believes in opportunism finds it difficult to develop high-end technology that requires long-term accumulation.

India has long been in an environment of scarce resources, intense employment competition, a large informal economy, cumbersome bureaucratic procedures, and insufficient social security. People tend to adopt short-term, flexible, and relationship oriented strategies. This has led to the deepening of Jugaad culture or opportunistic culture into their national cultural foundation.

"命运的一切馈赠,早已在暗中标定了价格", which means: All the gifts of fate have long been marked with a price in the dark. The short-term benefits Indians gain fromism also come at a long-term cost. Of course, in India's public opinion environment, even if some smart Indians can see the corruption of opportunism on the Indian national nature, they dare not tell the Indians. This is a country that only likes to listen to boasting and is unwilling to do practical things.

The F-16V/Rafale and J-10C are not true stealth fighters, the only difference being that the Rafale has a slightly smaller forward RCS. The E-7T is indeed capable of overhead detection of J-10C and other fighter jets at an altitude of 9km~12km. However, the KJ-500 also has the same ability to detect F-16V/Rafale from a top-down perspective, and China also has the KJ-3000 with performance surpassing the E-7T (with a detection range of 1000km for 4G fighter jets and 400km for 5G fighter jets).

Also, why do you think the Chinese system will use J-10C electronic warfare pods AEW&C to suppress E-7T? The person responsible for suppressing is Y-9G/Y-9EW/J-16D! Has NATO's technology deteriorated to the point of engaging in electronic warfare with China's air superiority fighter jets?

Then send the J-10C to the Middle East and see what will happen against the Israeli or Turkish Air Forces

Next gen platforms are transforming the F-16 from a standalone combat aircraft into a node within a massive network-centric warfare system. Thanks to this integration, a Turkish Air Force F-16 gains a decisive asymmetric advantage in BVR combat

Radar network with HAKIM AI powered sensor fusion ( C4ISR )
-- Boeing E-7T AEWC
-- ALP-300G ealy warning AESA Radar
-- MURAD-100 AESA Radar on the KIZILELMA and ANKA-3
-- IRST on the KIZILELMA , ANKA-3 , AKINCI

Electronic Warfare with the ASOJ-23A jammer Aircraft
Under normal conditions, an AEWC can detect an F-16 at a distance of 350 km. however, when subjected to active ASOJ-23A jamming Aircraft , its detection range can shrink to less than 100–120 km

Also , Uplink jamming performed by the ASOJ-23A, can prevent the Satellites from obtaining a clear radar image of that area within 400 km to protect the F-16s

MUM-T concept with the KIZILELMA and ANKA-3
Turkish F-16 was the first Fighter Jet in the world that flew with an unarmed stealth Fighter Jet , that means even ANKA-3 to fire BVR Missile to destroy a J-10C from safe distance

F-16 is not fight alone
also , Turkish F-16s have EHSIM RF decoy to protect the Platform from RF guided Missiles like PL-15 , PL-17 .... ( USA , Turkiye , Israel uses this technology in their F-16s )

dont compare Israeli-Turkish Air Forces with the Indian Air Force which lack technology and next gen war concept

Do you mean to let J-10C VS F-16V+E-7T+SOJ?

Do you think your request is fair?

Why not let F-16V VS J-10C+KJ-500+SOJ?

Because in a real war, it is not a single platform that will fight, but an entire system of systems

I described a possible scenario against all of China's military technology, not just the J-10C

I added the Jilin-1 constellation Satellites + AEWC to the J-10C team

F-16 vs J-10C
China would have the advantage in its own region, while Turkiye and Israel would have the advantage in theirs with network centric warfare+Jammer Aircraft+MUM-T concept
