We had heard the 155 mm artillery gun had been sent for extensive testing, but what came out of it was never revealed.Yes from HIT, it would have been good to replace our old Chinese and British ww2 era artillery the FC is still using, ballistic computers plus the ability fire guided shells and would have also been good to finally standardize our insanely diverse artillery stock.
HIT was very confident in it.
My assumption became that the few produced test units had major differences in quality between test units or probably HIT required substantial funding to make a quality production line or the funding was cut short in favor of acquiring self propelled howitzers.
It could be any one of the above or all of them contributed to it.
I would have liked for the army to provide substantial funding for this rather than HIT going on it with it’s meager resources.
But alas we never learn to prioritize crucial indigenous production.
