“Sonic Booms over Amritsar”

The painting depicts PAF F-104 piloted by F/L Farooq Umar, crossing sound barrier over Golden Temple, Amritsar, India.

There was panic on the ground and even IAF did not come to intercept. Later that evening, All India Radio announced 8 PAF F-86s had bombed Amritsar city!!!! Despite Indian Ack ack, F-104 headed back to Sargodha unscratched and landed safely.

This painting depicts his memorable mission of Inspired Alert Exercise 1992 in which he had a mock dogfight with USN F/A-18 Hornet.

This painting depicts Squadron Leader M. M. Alam in his famous North American F-86F (S/N 54026), ready for another mission at Sargodha Air Force Base during the 1965 war.

On 7 September 1965, Squadron Leader Muhammad Mahmood Alam — the legendary “Little Dragon” — carved his name forever into the annals of aviation history. In a dazzling display of unmatched skill and courage, he downed five Indian Hawker Hunters in less than a minute, a record that still stands unchallenged.

Flying his F-86F Sabre with fearless precision over Sargodha, he single-handedly thwarted a major enemy strike, earning the Sitara-e-Jurat with Bar and securing eternal glory as one of the Pakistan Air Force’s greatest fighter heroes.
