No, I don't think you can say that directly. PNS Hunain is properly classified as a corvette, and the difference in armament depends largely on each navy's doctrine and the ship's intended role.

The Indian Navy is much larger, so it doesn't necessarily equip every corvette with dedicated anti-ship missiles. For example, the Kamorta-class corvettes are similar in size to PNS Hunain but are primarily designed for anti-submarine warfare, not anti-ship operations.

The Indian Navy have different requirements... In the recent past, the Indian Navy has gone for corvettes as anti-submarine role mostly.

However, recently under development also includes anti-ships, similar to PNS Hunain, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Next_Generation_Missile_Vessels, or even more latest systems (Indication is planned to start from 2027 end).





NGMV: small, fast, highly armed missile-combatant designed around networked sensors, air defence and high-end anti-surface warfare.

PNS Hunain: larger, slower, more flexible multi-role corvette/OPV-derived platform with aviation, patrol and maritime-security capabilities.
