Stealth doesn't mean a ship disappears from radar. It means reducing its radar signature and making detection and tracking more difficult. And during normal peacetime operations, a navy generally isn't trying to make the ship completely undetectable

And it was purposely deployed nearby; the mission was not to hide from radar as happens during wartime.

Even in peacetime, a collision can happen between normal ships if one vessel isn't properly detected or tracked. During normal operations a navy isn't necessarily trying to remain completely undetected since it's not safe.

If your Calcutta Class destroyer hit the hull of a corvette vessel at a directly PERPENDICULAR TRAJECTORY, the target vessel being 3-4x lighter than it, it would slice the PN vessel in half, like a 46 Ford cutting through a DeLorean.

In fact, your vessel could not adjust its course quickly enough to AVOID cutting the PN vessel in half.

Why do you even believe and propagate this powerpoint baloney?

If the pic is true – It doesn't look like just a scratch. There is visible scraping and deformation of the side hull, although the image alone isn't enough to determine the extent of any structural damage

The picture of the alleged damage does not support the mechanism of collision described by IN fanboys in the slightest.

A graze like that would occur from side on collision.
