Indian Navy wants a payback. They choose a smaller warship of Pakistan Navy, to cause significant damage. Note PNS Husnain is not even military grade - Its an OPV. Its structure is likely very lighter than let's say PNS Tughrils, PNS Zulfiqars, or Baburs.

Its almost impossible that PNS Husnain will try and go bump into indian warship 3 times its size. So its definitely was other way around.
