In a full scale conventional warfare Afghanistan has nothing to lose compared to Pakistan that was rebuilding it´s country for the last 80 years and all that could be lost whereas Afghanistan has little to lose they were in war for the last 50 years anyways.

Peace is in the interest of Pakistan more so then it is Afghanistan.

Besides geopolitically Pakistan is a massive loser from this now, As Afghanistan-Pakistan relations thaw officially dead with Kabul who see Pakistan now as a country that hates them viciously and all the populist stuff about them online will enhance this idea.

They will cut a deal with the Americans for recognition, air force and other militarily assets such as airdefense systems and fully join the American camp because they have been pushed to that camp by Islamabad. Afghanistan, India and US will be on one team from this day on. Islamabad has given it´s stragetic depth away by all this vitriol and retarded policies. TTP is entirely local and FATA based elements no need to blame them on someone else which is the miscalculation Pakistan has done here.

Afghanistan will learn the hard way that Pakistan is not it´s brotherly that it wished to befriend and in this world you need an alliance immediately and one that benefits in situations like this hence the Americans present themselves as the best and obvious choice and Pakistan will geo-politically return to post-2021 and an own goal because they are simply to aggressive towards their neighbours who only wanted a friendship but now that is no more on the table

This is not some Hollywood movie. The purpose of such conflicts is to push the enemy back, not to murder them en-masse. The other side are humans with functioning brains who hide, dodge and use survival tactics. They do not stand in front of the ammunition waiting to be killed at 100% rate of every fire. Within 2-4 years they will have better equippment and they already have better equippment from anything below a tank. But when they strike that deal with the us then they will have better everything from tank to airforce.
