If India and the Taleban formalise their association, it is to be welcomed. Indian troops in Afghanistan are also to be welcomed. The sooner the better.

The likes of Achakzai are cancer. Bacha Khan supporters. Pakistanis need to get tough on Afghans. We have reached a point where Afghans are persona non grata.

Slightly misleading, as Talibs did not "emerge" with Pakistan's help, rather they emerged themselves and were then favoured by Pakistan, which is subtly different to what has been stated.

But herein lies the take home lesson - that Pakistan can very easily influence Afghanistan if Afghans choose to misbehave.

The only solution to both our nations' problems will come when Afghans improve their basic cognitive function to the point where they will accept Pakistan's sovereignty over its western territories. This will require institutional change in Afghanistan, starting with the civilians.

Would any of our Afghan guests on the forum care to get the ball rolling by accepting the Durand Line as a border that demarcates two sovereign nation states?
