As i pointed out border fortifications, solid border defense was necessary before provoking such a stupid war but @RescueRanger was very quick to ban even though you try to put some logic… somehow military mindset gets triggered with sensible posts…..lol

Keep in mind that the US-Mexico border is about 2000 miles (~3200 km) and in spots where there are solid steel reinforcements, they still have trouble with "insurgency" (illegal immigration). That - on top of the cost of tens of billions, it'd be hard for Pakistan to allocate that much, even at one hundredth of the cost, to the border. Much better spent to the other side where there is a real and constant exisential threat.

To date - Pakistan's response tends to be timid, and reactionary and tit-for-tat. This is why the Taliban feel confident to do what they are doing, because they know Pakistan Armies(/Armed forces) response is limited, and its attention span quickly goes back to its core interests of Fauji Cement, DHA and politics.
