You can call it a tactical mistake, not a sin. We supproted Talibaan over the decades for multiple purposes, never could we have realized that they were snakes, waiting to bite the hands that fed them.

A good opportunity for anti-taliban forces to strike. The taliban are distracted, and their manpower is being concentrated along the border to try and (fail to) defend the border.

With the taliban forces stretched, the NRF and other groups could easily move in and start taking territory.

I doubt Pakistan has the will or intent to expand the conflict. Most likely the Pakistani Establishment is looking for a de-escalation. Patriotic bravado aside.... Pakistan is in no position to go head to head against the Taliban across a long porous border.

It was bad policy to support the Taliban post 9/11 to begin with. We never had a long term plan of what to do after multiple exhaustive anti terror ops (ex. Zarb-e-azb).

This is an outsiders perspective. When you live in Pakistan you are in the thick of it and get lost in the narratives.

Unfortunately both Pakistan and Israel face the same security issues on their border. They are (in Israel's case were) both fighting against proxies with a similar mode of operation. I am talking about Iran's hezbollah who had them surrounded from Lebanon and Syria.

Pakistan is a non NATO ally that has lost over 70k people as a direct result of a NATO invasion. There is no other country with this profile. It hasn't gone unnoticed. You can't just ignore this. This is a big deal.

Just to make this clear Pakistan is leading this, not the other way round. They are finally listening to them.

India had them hoodwinked with their lies that Pakistan is an enabler. They wanted to believe them I think out of spite for Pakistan's lack of courage during the WOT.

You are correct and I am not supporting this but the whole fuking country is a production line of Terrorists because the ordinary people are heavily involved in this trade of terrorisms. It is very common that Little kids are sold by the tribes to become Terrorists under some taliban Warlord. My suggestion for years has been balkanization. It'll end the conflicts one and for all.
