I really hope there is no cessation of hostilities from our side.

Afghan on collective are a people that understand nothing but the language of a good beating. Stopping now means just wasting our ammunition as they haven't learned yet. Optics do matter and many will be surprised how good the Afghan propaganda is.

Why pass up a free lunch? If a few rupees in Kabul gets us leverage, saying no would be pure idiocy. Keep whining.
So the churan about atankwadi that Godi media regurgitates is just an excuse? Is that what you’re saying?

They do recognise it and never played into this Durrand line stuff. They don't want to become a tiny minority. They actually are all Sufi inclined Muslims and are at odds with the Taliban interpretation.
Anyway, yes you are spot on by backing the Taliban we lost these people for years.
So now you are missing the Northern Alliance !! The same one you defeated along with Taliban 3 years back !

Aerial strikes on storage sites in Kandahar, this afternoon.

Is there an option to use biological weapons to eradicate not only the current afghan cattle but also their offspring? Would it be viable to get the US on board to wipe afghanistan and its people off the map?
Pakistan is a member of BTWC (Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention) and CWC (Chemical Weapons Convention), which means it is committed to not producing BTWs and CWs. If there is something hidden in the basement without the knowledge of BTWC, however, that would be another story.

Germany is a member of BTWC as well, but if it has BTWs in its basement and wants to use them against Afghanistan that's entirely on them.

Full Details:
Pakistan–Afghanistan border clashes are neither sudden nor unjustified.

When the Taliban took Kabul in 2021, the entire world vacated its embassies, Pakistan kept its mission open and even acted as a conduit for evacuees during the chaotic withdrawal.

In the post-US withdrawal UN-led conferences on Afghanistan, Pakistan consistently called for unfreezing Afghanistan’s $9 billion assets, and even used regional forums like ECO to lobby for the same.

Pakistan hoped for peace and stability. Instead, Afghanistan became a safe haven for TTP militants.

Yet, despite repeated betrayals, Pakistan tried every peaceful route. It engaged the Taliban regime through religious, tribal, and official channels.

In July 2022, an 8-member ulema delegation led by Mufti Taqi Usmani visited Kabul to convince TTA and TTP to stop attacks. A few days later, a 17-member tribal jirga also went to Kabul with the same message.

On February 22, 2023, a high-level delegation led by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and DG ISI Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum visited Kabul to push for peace.

In July 2024, Interior Minister Naqvi led another delegation for security cooperation.

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts weren’t empty words. Special Envoy Muhammad Sadiq worked to enhance trade ties, leading to the Early Harvest Programme (EHP) reducing tariffs on eight key agricultural items to benefit both sides.

But what did Pakistan get in return?

According to Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) data:
•2021: 89 attacks
•2022: 262 attacks
•2023: 306 attacks
•2024: 521 attacks
•2025 (Jan–Oct): 585 attacks

The worst betrayal came during Pakistan’s 4-day war with India in May 2025, when Afghanistan sent a 40-member TTP tashkeel, including the son of a Taliban official, to attack from the western front.

What triggered Pakistan’s recent strikes? Just one day is enough to understand.

On October 8, 12 soldiers, including a Lt Col and two Majors, were martyred in IBOs in Orakzai and D.I. Khan, carried out by TTP militants from Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s patience had run out.

Pakistan’s recent strikes were targeted and precise, aimed only at TTP terrorists being hosted in Afghanistan.

How did the Taliban respond?

By sending groups like Tahaffuz-e-Imarat-e-Islami Force (TIF) to attack the Police Training School in D.I. Khan, martyred seven policemen, and by launching a full blown cross border attack across Af-Pak Border.

Now decide for yourself.

Is Pakistan the aggressor, or a state defending its people from cross-border terrorism?

CNN is quoting Pakistani officials saying the fighting was mostly over by Sunday morning. If that is true, what has actually been achieved ? The TTP and BLA are not going to stop their attacks. Even if the official figures of 23 dead and 29 injured are correct and Afghan claims of Pakistani casualties are exaggerated, that is a huge price to pay for just a show of force against a massively overmatched ragtag militia .

It's not a full blown war, Pakistan is conducting punishment strikes and targeted attacks against assets and bases that have been used against Pakistan

The Taliban are not capable of fighting a war, not against Pakistan especially

They are a guerilla fighting force

the Taliban does not have the money to sustain attack
It doesn't have the fuel and sending forces to the border burns through Afghanistans meagre fuel resources

The Taliban has limited weaponry and it's needed against it's enemies like Isis,
So sending it to the border for Pakistan to blow it up gives Afghanistan nothing

Winter is coming and even a few days conflict or border closures will hurt Afghanistan

Afghanistan Could collapse if this conflict goes on because they don't have the resources to wage a conflict, neither do they have support

THATS THE POINT

Pakistan has had enough of Afghan stupidity,

They have a choice Trade and peace
Or conflict and being hit

We want the BLA and TTP either destroyed or controlled

Is this the end of it, of course not, the Afghans are donkeys

But we have set the stage now and any attack on Pakistan will result in strikes against our enemies

Why pass up a free lunch? If a few rupees in Kabul gets us leverage, saying no would be pure idiocy. Keep whining.
I think the free lunch is the Biryani Bill the Taliban entourage ran up visiting Deoband.
They should have been taken to Srisailam instead of Deoband,
A banana leaf Muniyandi Vilas dinner is much cheaper.

STOP Brining Israel and Gaza into this thread. STOP DERAILING and inflaming.
Agreed. But you did that first actually. Here is your post....

You are correct and I am not supporting this but the whole fuking country is a production line of Terrorists because the ordinary people are heavily involved in this trade of terrorisms. It is very common that Little kids are sold by the tribes to become Terrorists under some taliban Warlord. If Pakistan does not become Israel unfortuantely how do we solve this menace of hired murderers??

One attack? Isn't that like daily occurance in many regions in SA...
Yes. But is it normal? No.

Conclusion: you are wasting your time and resources furthering interest in Afghanistan.

I guess PA is not going with the hot pursuit, which makes sense as there could be traps. Its a foreign land with foreign militia elements. Best to consolidate gains on the ground, and then exercise the next phase, if there is to be one.

There are dozens of videos showing them humilating dead Pakistani soldiers

Yeah..gross but even indians dont do that. I have more respect for them

Govt has confirmed 24 deaths the number is probably more much more
Taliban , Al Qaeda and ISIS, all share the takfiri and hateful ideology that started from violence on shias and spread on all ordinary Muslims. our establishment also comes from same pool of polarized society where some support Taliban and see them as assets and some see them as an existential threat. the policy of GHQ changes with the command, compare Gen Bajwa/ Faiz vs Gen Musharraf / Munir.

the blame of allowing TTP leadership and its fighters back into Pakistan must go mostly on the establishment at the time which was looking for extension from Imran Khan, although Imran used to start his rallies from Lal Masjid during Musharraf time and he naively has always suggested hugging these throat slitters who play football with the skulls of our dead soldiers but the final call to fight or not to fight is always by GHQ, this is why Gen Faiz the (failed COAS favorite of PTI) went for green tea in Kabul. the TTA played us, we facilitated in the evacuation of Americans and establishing Afghan Taliban back but the moment they got hold of Kabul they said what "brothers" and what border? we dont recognize Derand line and we claim our border up to the city of Attock.

Taliban and TTP exist because a major portion of us Pakistanis have takfiri and extremist ideology which agrees with Taliban , this is how TTP and other terror outfits continue to receive inflow of new recruits and support from locals in terms of safe hiding places and intelligence etc. against the Pakistan military. and this is why you see a disturbing trend of some Pakistanis liking those graphic videos of Pakistani soldiers too.
