The situation with afghanistan is such that, where you raise a territorial dog, you feed it, you love it, you pet it, keep it unleashed and let it mark territory inside your house .. and think this is all and enough and the animal should respect you in return and be loyal. Simple right? No it is not. There are some additional steps you need to take to make this dog realise that you are his alpha and he has to earn your affection and follow your commands.

He is only acting idiot -- Military operations fall in federal jurisdiction. At best, they can refuse co-operation of provincial law enforcement agencies (police / CTD etc).

If they go down to that level to deny any co-operation with the military or impede any counter terrorism efforts. Its in direct conflict with the national security and national interests.

Its sad to see absence of national unity when most needed -- we are going no where in this war with such sad state of affairs.
