they are 50 year old most of them are probably useless

Good practice. Pak Army cannot spare many old tanks for target practice, now Talibs are doing it on our behalf. Hopefully we are testing capabilities of Pak ATGMs and air launched missiles

Pakistan is the main source of goods and food supplies for landlocked, impoverished Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan, Abidullah Uqab, a spokesperson for the border police, confirmed that all the border crossings with Pakistan remained shut for trade and movement of people on Monday.

It was not clear when the border might reopen.

Though the Chaman border crossing was closed for trade, authorities briefly allowed about 1,500 Afghan nationals stranded there since Sunday to return home on foot, government officer Imtiaz Ali said.

Torkham, however, remained closed to all travel and trade. The closure was confirmed by Mujib Ullah, a representative for local traders.

Afghan refugees, including many who were waiting to leave Pakistan because of a crackdown on foreigners living in the country illegally, said they had been waiting at the Torkham crossing since Sunday.

Gul Rahman, a refugee, said he waited through Sunday at Torkham before returning with his family to the northwestern city of Peshawar.
Let the refugees go back to Afg ffs! Why do we want to keep them here??

The regime finding out the hard way why supporting these snakes was bad policy post 9/11.
It's not like Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani were any friendly with Pakistan. They both allowed, welcomed India to operate in Afghanistan against Pakistan.
So establishment made the best bet, with all information available, and choose Talib.
And even that backfired. Quiet telling about the whole country.

If Pak drones and missiles are being used, imagine how much good marketing material we are creating.

Anyone fighting an insurgency or even badly equipped conventional forces will be taking notes here

Has the occupation of Wakhan Corrider ever been given any serious attention? Or has it just been floated around on these forums?
Bro what would be the end game of this occupation?
In today's world it's almost impossible to keep some other country's territory or annexing it permanently. So what would we achieve in the long run?

No need or us to capture it. We can take it from Taliban and give Wakhan corridor to some allied party, like ARF, etc and tell them to govern it so trade to Central Asia can flow.

They can use the transit proceeds for the betterment of the areas under their control. Pakistan can trade from there, China can trade form there, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. Turkmenistan, Aerbaijan, can trade from there. Iran can trade from there rather than passing through Afghanistan. They hate the Taliban more than anyone.

Taliban can keep rooting for India for all we care, after we create some kind of a buffer zone. And India can sit in its corner sulking.

This is becoming non stop.

Now to be safe, they will need to hide on villages. They will soon cease to exist as an effective fighting force, if not already so

Seriously though i want replies to this post

How much do you think talibans forces will be hurt by this if we keep this swift pace going for a day and a half or 2 days.

Yeah, really does seem like that India visit was what made Munir get decisive. If talibs wanted to send us a sign by going to Delhi, this was our response. To end them.

Afghanistan current war capability

Tanks (main battle tanks) — ~100 T-62 (still seen in parades; many are legacy Soviet-era tanks).

Infantry fighting / armoured personnel carriers — BMP-1 ≈ 350; BMP-2 ≈ 150 (legacy Soviet vehicles).

Towed field howitzers (122 mm M-30) — ≈232.

Towed 122 mm D-30 howitzers — ≈80 reported in lists (some reports say ~200 being repaired / returned to service).

Multiple-rocket launchers (e.g., BM-21 Grad) — small numbers reported (7+) in public lists
Most of the tanks are used as stationary turrets, because they don't have the capability to service the chassis. Another Chuck are used as spares. I'd say the talibs have maybe 20 to 30 serviceable tanks that they can operate at full efficiency.

Their IFVs are probably in similar condition.

The MLRS are decades old, and have not seen any sort of maintenance or service since the 90s.

Their howitzer are the only real threat, as those are relatively uncomplicated systems compared to others they have. They're also systems that the Americans helped the ANA keep in service, especially the D-30s, so they should be relatively plentiful and active. Even if they're not 200, even 50 to 100 of them is enough for an effective defence in terms of certainly areas for the talibs.
