This might seem good now, but will be counter intuitive. Stable government that can actually govern is requirement in the region. Pakistan can capture a small part of Afghanistan and use it as a leverage to make Afghans accept the Durand line. There is another area in Afghansistan that is more important to Pakistan then Wakhan. This is border area along Kunar river, till Jalabad. There is road that goes alongside Kunar river, Chitral-Kunar Road. Part of that area can be captured and use as leverage.
Sensible government is requirement in Afghanistan, although who is sensible over there is another matter altogether.

I actually feel sorry for Taliban's stupidity in this all. Not sorry for Taliban, but for their stupidity in dragging us into this all needlessly.
Unlike India which has a death wish on Pakistan, we Pakistanis never wanted any of this for Afghans and it feels sad that they are forcing us to do this all .... and then doubling down on it instead of letting us back off.
This is why Taliban need to go. We need a friendly Govt that stops doing all of this nonsense for no reason. I hope someone else takes over that has nothing to do with interfering in Pakistan, at least.
