I a not sure if it's achievable but a broad-based government, consisting of Haqqanis, NRF, and Hazaras, might be the best option at this point. Unlike these ignorant Kandahari gang, that broad-based government will be willing and capable of eliminating international terrorists group, such as ISIS, from Afghanistan. Also, an Afghanistan under the control of that government will emerge as a responsible member of international community. Most of NRF appear to be more logical and pragmatic that these Kandahari terrorist gang.
they are all pro-ind.

So why were you guys cheering when the NRF got ousted by your Kandhari friends on Aug 15, 2021?

Regards

If true, this might be Pakistan setting up a new power balance, or even a new regime.

First part seems more likely though. A new regime would entail Pakistan executing the top taliban leadership, which i don't see happening unless a full scale war is declared.

So, is Sirajuddin Haqqani our new top guy?
He said this yesterday in Paktika, surprisingly in the open, when no other leader had been seen during our clashes with the IEA. Internal TTA clashes prolly?

"During his recent visit to Paktika province, Interior Minister of Taliban Sirajuddin Haqqani criticized certain senior officials for claiming credit for Afghanistan’s jihad and the sacrifices made during it.
Haqqani said that some high-ranking figures are trying to take credit for the struggle and martyrdom of others."

Creating even a 10 mile buffer inside Afghanistan is almost a physical impossibility due to the terrain, the long border, the houses straddling the two borders, the family connections on both sides. Pakistan doesn't have the readily available manpower for that while there is India ready to pounce given any chance, nor Pakistan has the money.
Also, the foolish talks of 'leveling' Afghanistan, as said by some above, is just not possible, even if morality is set aside, short of nuking much of Afghanistan, which we know is not going to happen--and should not happen.
There are really no good options in Afghanistan for Pakistan--and the world. Only long term is a neutral govt, at peace with Pakistan, and with social uplifting of Afghanistan in education, health etc.

Im afraid you do need a buffer zone now. Should have done sooner. Far too easy for TTP currently to walk into Pakistan or shoot from border and run back into safety of Afghanistan. You can recruit from friendly forces with in Afghanistan to Man the buffer zone and raise large paramilitary force with in Pakistan for the buffer zone. Other countries have been using this for years.

For that we first need to find an Afghan govt that accepts the Durand Line. It seems no matter who you bring on, this is something they never accept.

It's dead clear now: it's Pakistan vs Bharat now.....

IMO it's a temporary pause. The Ram Rajya of Bharat will indeed fight till Pak the Last Afgan. It's their last line of offense like the way the "Hanuman (apes)" were the Brahma-astra (the ultimate weapons) of Ram against Ravana. The Pak Deep State needs to pull down PLAN B, if not C,..........,if not Z.....

Can you post the video?
This video was shared on the first night I think page number 13 of this thread. It sounds like a jet.

Can anyone verify this one

Loss of non-combatants is deplorable. However, I am not sure if it's a legit video (because it shows the scenes from the claimed hit site and also persons already treated probably in a hospital).

Even if it's not a fake video, one must not forget that Pakistan has suffered through such losses for too long in the terrorist attacks by the Afghanistan-borne terrorists and suicide bombers.

If anything, these Afghanistani people should blame their Kandahari gang of terrorists. No sympathy for these terrorists at all.

It's a chance that you have to take. Pakistan's objective is for the cross-border support for TTP to stop, not occupation. Any chance we get of achieving that through dialogue we will give it a shot. If it doesn't pan out then we go back.

We should continue to fight just because a halfwit said a few words? Can't treat war like a grade school disagreement. You keep it hot only for as long as you need it hot. Let them have a way out if you want to calm things down, just like you did with India.
While I don't presume to know the details of the army and FC operations against the taliban. I can however guess that it's the taliban who need these ceasefire more than the army and FC.

Pakistan shouldn't have accepted it without condition. Make them say publicly that they need a ceasefire.
