There are indeed a lot of similarity between the situation in the three North Eastern states of Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland and the situation prevailing in large swaths of the trans-Indus provinces of Pakistan. But there are some differences as well.

The three provinces mentioned make up 2% of the land mass and about 1% of the population. They are also economically irrelevant (even more so than the trans Indus) and even further away from India's political and economic centre of gravity than your regions.

Last, but not the least, if the Indian state was to decide to go full retard on the Christian tribal populace which is behind the insurgencies (which I hope they don't), there will be little of the brotherly sentiments extended by mainland Indians towards them as many Pakistani Muslims exhibit towards Afghan Muslims.

If the TTP example is to find a parallel in India then the Babbar Khalsa terrorists in Punjab fighting for Khalistan would be more relevant. Punjab is a strategic border state and vital to India's agricultural food production.

The Indian Punjab insurgency was handled politically by giving the Sikhs the space they wanted, though even that hasn't prevented targeted asssinations that continue sporadically. Most significantly with Punjab as a border state India's security stands compromised for the foreseeable future as the loyalty of the resident population can no longer be taken for granted.
