Yeah, any decent CSAR chopper needs room for winch, FLIR, floodlight, door gunner and pararescue jumpers which is why Fennec cannot do this role

I get that, but Aloutte performed SAR role for PAF, AW139 is now performing SAR role, so wonder what Fennecs are used for, seems to light for SAR

These will be general utility/communications/conversion platforms not SAR perse

Our air fields and logistics are extremely vulnerable to missile barrages, what is the solution apart from basic dispersal ops?

We need something genuinely viable for uninterrupted ops, not a band aid.

Airfields deeper into Balochistan? Mountain complexes?

I can imagine a scenario where India tries to launch 100+ missiles per airbase at the beginning of a war.

You have none of these advantages because Balochis tan has been made unstable by a mistake of your own doings helped along generously by India, US(right hand not knowing what the left does), European nations and other "brotherly" nations.

I'm aware but I don't like defeatism, strategies can be taken to remedy the situation there - without going off topic.

But our air force is useless if it can't carry out operations uninterrupted in the face of Indian missile barrages.

And then there's the issue of the Rocket Force being useless if we can't produce enough stocks every year, and with high quality tech. Domestic industry is fucked, Chinese just want to make money, truth is we are nationally incompetent and the air force has been an outlier, not the rule. If it follows the rule, things will get even worse.

Officer class and strategists are probably not that smart either...
