Had a fun chat with https://defence.pk/threads/an-unsung-hero.504731/and his views on some shitshows that happened in early training of ME crews - funniest being how fresh khaleeji LTs would suddenly have stripes on them for captain in 6 months and then majors in a year while barely out of training.

This is pretty common with most GCC arabs, they speed up the promotion chain to sit in cushy positions and chairs.....for some reason they don't want to experience it out in the field or hard tasks. Which is why their leadership roles are then pretty much sus.

I work plant maintenance, had a good offer from a Qatari company, and all the ex employees of that company who happened to be my colleagues told the same thing, the Arabs will hire Pakistanis and Indians to do anything that requires even a little bit of hard effort while they themselves become Plant managers and maintenance heads.

Typically it would take someone 15-20 years to become a plant/station manager, even in North American or Europe. Qataris and Saudis appoint people with less than 10 years experience on such posts.
 
A very loud sound was heard in Islamabad as Fighter jets were airborne a short while ago.
Either a droptank fell or a drone was downed, no on ground confirmation as of yet.

Reports of intelligence and MP making rounds near the place of impact.
Hearing that it’s either a drone that was downed or a missle.
 
Whatsapp chatter says a drone was shot down over Hamza Camp/Faizabad area?

Jets are in the air, so probably would be something more than the usual quadcopter or hand launched drone.

But who is launching them? And from where?
