I have a feeling the PGs might hang around for a while for ground attack and COIN, decent firepower with those twin cannons. The Mirages should be replaced with more J10s, although we might lose the conventional/nuke capability with the Raptor series, there's more modern alternatives, and with other delivery systems, may not be an issue.

wont the jf17 blck3 replace the mirages?...for nuke delivery jf17 can launch the raad i guess...

India bought some pgms from edge or a similar middleeatern/old denel group called AL TARIQ for the tejas i believe. Why don't we go to them for the conventional ALCMs like some storm shadow type ones?. They have a longe range of ALCMs shouldn't be a problem. maybe look to some saudi company???

Maybe, but I can't see the PAF not utilising the kinematically higher performing J10 for such payload delivery.

With only 20 right now and the powerful AESA it has, I really hope we just keep them focused on air to air and the pilots skill in BVR on edge

Why name all our systems in Arabic? How can a common Pakistani know what that means? The above is in honor of Imam Hussain's RA steed but 99% of Pakistanis would have no clue.

This is the height of idiocy. Occasionally it is fine but when every system has an Arabic name then why even bother with our native mother tongue?

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with using Arabic names as long as they are linked to the religion Islam or its associations. Pakistan and Pakistanis are on a unique plateau; we have a local history and local culture. We are an ideological country, so we own Turkish, Afghan, Persian, and Arabic cultures. The difference is that Afghan and Pakistani have merged and crossed many times and still do. Persian and South Asian Muslims have been one for centuries; even Persian was a language widely spoken in India not too long ago. Turks, with the virtue of Khilafa, have had more impact than we realize.

I have traveled to many areas, and based on my experience, I can say that Pakistani and Indian Muslim cultures are most influenced by Iranian culture [not religion], and Turks more than Arabs. I believe we only got Islam and a few other cultural elements from Arabs. From my point of view, we in Pakistan and most of Afghanistan are very similar in culture and religion, same as with IHK.

The 2 tactical strike sqds of Mirage may soldier on for a few more years. Other Mirages should be retired.

I believe, as I have stated before, the strike Mirages may retire first. Their strike capabilities have been surpassed by Thunders, which also offer air defence capabilities.

They tried putting in SD-10s on the M3 equipped mirages but simply not worth it anymore. What ive heard is that despite all the efforts the amount of “Dham, Phat, tak tak tak…eeenk eenk ennk” noises on Mirages is now getting out of hand.

PGs will stay in LIFT/OCU role for few more years... good and cheap fighter trainer for new pilots

I find most of these Twitter PakMil accounts to be insufferable.

Act super official but don't have full understanding. Especially when they write in that cringe tone as if they were giving some briefing.

I personally never even open any Youtube or social media mostly.
99.99% are fake click bait have no idea what they are talking about.
Now a days, its just a game of views and earnings. If you believe in thumbnails titles, you are already living in the days after end of times. Pakistan have all the Imran series tech and most of the Pakistanis are gaddars, few are living in Jannat ul firdous and have Allah's Chosen Khalifas in Govt etc.
