question, what benefit will PAF recieve from this purchase?

Depends on what PEC make

My guess is incoporated into PAC Kamra may be a good start. I am sure there will be some synergies between military and civilian aircraft manufacturing.

Soon I will post their manufacturing portfolio, just as cursory manner I would like to mention they makes

- Parts for Boeing arcraft(some small parts)
- Bombs for Air force
- IR Flares for F-16, JF-17 and J-10
- If I am not wrong they have capabilities to perform overhauling for engines of civil aircrafts of PIA

Typical.
Step 1: Destroy an organization.
Step 2: Buy it for pennies on the dollar.
Question: Why isn't the PEC being used to sweeten the possible PIA privatization deal that is not getting off the ground?

"Fauji companies make profits because they do well because of merit"
"Fauji companies make profits because the competition is consistently destroyed and are given a captive market and all sorts of favors"
Judge yourself which is true.

It would be divested in a heart beat by any new owner. PIA privatization failed due to the Euro ban, which is now over.

But in case PEC there was no competition from anyother player from private sector infact PAF is the customer of PEC.

Staff at PEC were worried about their Job security due to separation from PIA were part of pool of companies which were not on offer for sales with PIA
