It's possible they confused the Mirage-2000 to be a Rafale.

The mig-29 was IDd recently in the video with Indian soldiers.

It's possible they confused the Mirage-2000 to be a Rafale.

That's what I thought initially, that the Indians may have prototype upgraded Mirage with a Rafale radar, so 'Electronic Contact' (not 'Radar Contact') would show up as Rafale, and our AVM Aurangzeb clearly said we picked up electronic contacts.

However, I think it is most likely just a fratricide, the Mirage-2000 pilot may have deviated from flight plan when Pl-15s were shot through the IAF formations, ground crew panicked, IFF possibly degraded by PAF (not a SME, just guessing), and bam, Akash on Mirage-2k.

Panzerkiel had confirmed a C130 had experienced light damage, beyond that no one has mentioned any other platform being damaged.

IAF has not made any claim on a Saab 2000 being damaged, and given their lack of success if they had a sniff of success they would be shouting at it from the roof tops right now. They are not. This means, the whole story of Saab 2000 is a non story. We stop continually propagating a false narrative.

C-130 might have received superficial damage too but doesn't change my belief yet
