Allah directly qouting ACM PAF.. both are reliable. means we have shot 4 rafale? so the politician were right from the beginning

When Indian CDS was asked if 5 planes were shot down and he said "Absolutely incorrect", that does not nessacarily imply they lost less then 5....!

We have over 100 Mirages still needing replacement.

Over 50 J-7s.

Block 1 JF-17s that are nearing the end of their airframe life.

And now also the initial block F-16s.

That's going to cost a lot of money. And will probably be made of J-35s, J-10Cs, and JF-17 B3s. How long will it take, what's the target?

As far as I remember pakistan new doctrine was to have 350 jets or close.
150 jf17s, 20 j10, 80 f16, by next year we will have 10 to 15 more block 3s, j35 possibility. So I think less number of replacements required. Most of mirages are retired. We dont have 100s. Same case with f7s.

Block 1s are near end lifespan but the mid life update alike will give them good time.

If you look at f16s block 10 or 15 they had same issue. Pac assembles jf17 so the airframe can be modified to change composites or add composites. Engine replacements and major components can be replaced or refreshed.

Yeah, worth remembering the PGs play little of no role in our actual combat orbat. Good for rookie pilots to gain skills on an old school platform but that is it.

Take those out of the equation the actual "teeth" of PAF is all the types we used in combat recently

JF-17/J-10/F-16/Mirage

So essentially for all intents and purposes we are a 350 plane force anywa

If the Americans can be convinced to release/reimburse the blocked CSF funds, then some 2nd had 'low Block' F16s would have alot ore military value that the F7PGs would..

Yes, my point for now paf is well equipped. Im not even complaining. The complaining starts with when we have these and india has 5th gens. So for now members should relax and focus on air defense and missile technology.

How many Mirages & J-7s do we actually have in service then?

150 JF-17s, 20 J-10Cs, and 80 F-16s, would make 250 planes.

Unsure, current ORBAT according to scramble,nl which is very reliable is 4 Sqds plus an OCU, however it seems as we retired some Sqds and handed them over to the current Mirage Sqds, the current Sqds maybe oversized, so around 25-30 planes each, which means it seems we may well have around 120-140 in service.

PAF has no operational f 7 sqd. PAF is operating F 7 PG and some FT 7 for training/conversion.
The number of mirages is less than 100, and out of those, the rose mirages are being upgraded and will soldier on.
Block 1 all/mostly have been upgraded to block 2 standard and have plenty of life left in them, they are 4th++ gen ac and are not going anywhere for at least 5-10 years
Even the early block 15 had gone through MLU and are 4+gen ac, they too should soldier on for at least a decade, even if no further upgrades are carried out on them
