🔸Armored vehicles to be produced by Besqaru, Otokar's initiative in Kazakhstan, will serve the Pakistani security forces.
🔸Pakistan will initially receive the COBRA II 4x4 and ARMA 8x8 armored vehicles produced at Besqaru.

ARMA 8x8 is selected for trials at the moment, no orders have been placed.

I believe the Cobra 4x4 already underwent trials, no orders for that so far either as per my knowledge.

MHIL is supposed to be a more private form of HIT and other Army/MoDP production houses with a bigger portfolio. They can do partnerships and ToTs with other manufacturers and then offer the resulting products to the various customers in Pakistan (Army, FC, Police etc.). Just because they got a ToT doesn’t mean the army sanctioned it, it can very well be that they got the ToT in the hopes of pitching it to the army as a potential solution to their IFV requirements. Whether the army picks it or not is upto them.

I don’t know why they keep making all these new companies it’s so convoluted, it’s like a straw man MIC masquerading as private companies giving each other competition while in reality it’s all a drain on tax money and solely for the benefit of another retired general who gets a cushy job.

So does that mean the army is finally interested in IFVs?

Pakistani military was very slow in not introducing wheeled infantry carriers sooner . A lot of countries have been using wheeled intermediate armoured vehicle's throughout the decades in all sorts of conflicts and they’ve always been highly successful.
