Army’s top brass says regional stability depends on restraint, respect for sovereignty​

The top brass of the Pakistan Army said on Tuesday that emerging geopolitical developments carry significant implications for regional stability, stressing that peace in the region depends on restraint, responsibility, and respect for sovereignty.

The statement came after Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir presided over the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The forum said Pakistan had continued to play a responsible role in advocating stability and supporting efforts to prevent further deterioration of the situation.

It underscored the need to avoid escalation, saying collective restraint and respect for sovereignty were essential for peace and stability in the region.

How do EO sensors going to distinguish between friends and foe??? It can end up shot down your own air asset. Unless you have situation like Iran where they don't have their own Air Force. Or it needs to be more networked to avoid any accident.

I don't think EO sensors in this system are capable of identifying between friend or foe. If we are talking about the particular sensor used by L3Harris in Vampire System, there is no mention of that and it will fall on the operater to make that decision.

That is a lot of equipment for $12billion, we won't know about the number of HQ-19s, that will be a very closely guarded secret for a while but the KJ-500 combo with JF17Cs/J10CE's and of course the J-35AE will be a difficult combo for India to try and counter.

we wont get them man , HQ19 is basically thaad ask yourself do we need thaad when we dont have adequate shorad/MRSAM cover .

Pakistan needs to sort out base defense, and defense of AD assets before it goes for high end systems like the HQ-19 for certain, but with the Indians on a buying spree of Israeli ALBM, and we can see how precise and effective those systems can be, PAF cannot afford to ignore that threat either.

My personal guess is that he will announce his favoured choice from the below options (Credits: @omegalamba7xl9 , @Mujahid ) while declaring himself the King of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Shehbaz and Zardari to be allowed to continue serving as his prime minister and president.
