OTS officers where never seen as the elite (I know that is a sweeping generalisation).

I don't know men. Look what elite officers did to Pakistan in last 30 years, almost made it in to Afghanistan and installed terrorist regime of Taliban in Kabul.

@Panzerkiel any idea about the 14 August parade is it happening or not?.

Would love alot that those assets which are bound to participate in clean configuration are instead fully fueled with A2G loadout and unleashed where they are supposed to be....that would be a memorable parade instead.......

That ain't cause of the current Chief who likes to wear suits and do diplomacy rather bombing the **** out of what needs to be bombed. Wish our local commanders had the autonomy of operations

So long as merit was followed there is nothing wrong.



Majority of early Pak Army leaders were Pashtun or Hazara for that matter. Generally racial problems have not shown in the military vis a vis Punjab vs KP regardless of vested efforts.

More racial issues arise on Sindh inhabitants(urban and rural) and maybe Baluchistan but nothing overly abrasive.

Spending time in Siachen or being shot at by people tends to remove racial biases in a few hours.

However, Syed is irrelevant - most Pakistani Syeds came about as a copium for losing caste structure.

I have been told that Baloch and Sindhis in the Army found it weird that officers fight alomgside them, hey are used to Saradrs and waderas being far away.
