True what you say bro. Out of all the legacy weaponry being employed in modern wars, it is long range artillery still earning its keep. Russian artillery has decimated Uki forces on the battlefield.

Good points. But, you can easily make these artillery pieces smart and intelligent by networking them with ultra-intelligent UAVs like TB2s, Akinjis etc. for an effective and pinpoint firing support to decimate the enemy locations. This tactic has been proved to be effective in a number of hot battlefields....
What is easier to deter and destroy ?
1. A drone
2. A missile

LDR-A4N is a high performance, compact and light weight system. The low mass and volume of the equipment enables the complete system to be carried by a soldier either in its transit case or in the soldier's rucksack. The LDR-4N is capable of designating up to 5 km using any user-defined codes, with excellent beam quality and stable bore sight over the full temperature range.

The system provides realistic environment for the training of observer in a class room/simulation lab. Budget reductions and limitations of live fire opportunities have adversely affected the proficiency of the forward observer. For these types of reasons, an alternative method for training the forward observer must be found to provide almost realistic environments in order to accomplish the fire missions. One solution is to develop and use a computer simulation system in order to enhance training and operations.
Training of Forward Artillery Observer is a necessary and continuous process and its aim is to enhance observer's skills and capabilities. It is necessary to have a system which provides training that would enhance the capabilities of the observer to react promptly to various situations in war.
Small range practices are not enough to improve the quality of observers because the observations recorded and _ various F corrections passed are not realistic. It is essential to have a system (Artillery Forward Observer Simulator), which would enhance the quality of training of forward observers without engaging ammunition and other expenditure.
Depends what version (A2,A3,A4,A5) and the upgrades available for that version.
And you propose to deploy SP Artillery in Afghan mountains. Further to that, you think that PA will deploy its Armored forces against Afghanistan and in Middle East instead of bolstering I, II, XXX, XXXI and V Corps against India.

Some things that have been stated before already but let me briefly explain those.The concern lies in further development of this project.
Pakistan’s HIT Develops In-House 155 mm Artillery Gun - Quwa
Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) revealed that it developed its own 155 mm howitzer gun. The Pakistan Army is currently testing the new artillery gun.
1. An initial variant of the gun was developed & tested by HIT several years ago.
2. PA was supplied with a limited batch of several examples for trials & testing. But order was not placed as (see point 3).
3. Currently the gun is being further developed into a improved variant with top of the line specs as a foreign customer is funding the development. So the PA has opted to wait it out and eventually procure the improved variant once it's ready.
