Pakistan Army Small Arms

USSOCOM uses the HK416
SOCOM has moved away from HK416 for couple of years now. NSWDQ uses Noveske N4 and Delta use Sig CSAW as their main CQB Weapon. USAF STS are using LMT Specwar

Now .300 in SOCOM is in PDW capacity. Sig LVAW platform in .300 is preferred choice.

Days of 416 Gold Gun are coming to an end.

"Pakistan Army soldiers deployed in Saudi Arabia for ongoing joint military exercises have been observed carrying Saudi-licensed AK-103 assault rifles. The deployment reflects the growing defence cooperation between Pakistan and the Kingdom, particularly in training, interoperability, and equipment standardisation." Source: Global Defence Insight

This PA contingent looks fairly equipped and the AK-103 rifle also looks good. I wonder if Pakistan can get a tot from Russia to manufacture these at scale. Indian Army already manufactures and is adopting AK-203 rifles.

Saudis Guns not ours

So Salman bhai posted a video on his channel firing CW-39. Some guy commented to ask about Pak Army trials on BW-20 and CW-39 for rifle replacement program and he confirmed about rumors or "propaganda" from this forum and Youtube about the above mentioned rifles being rejected. This was Salman bhai's reply.

What can I personally say? I think this whole rifle replacement program is in a limbo for long now and we don't know nothing about POF's vision for future and whether we will be able to see any modern gas-operated rifle anymore. So overall, its an utter disappointment but some folks will be happy with roller-delayed blowback system because us Pakistani's have become satisfied with mediocrity and any talk of revolutionizing a product or rebuilding something new and modern is seen as "propaganda" and "you know nothing about it son".

Reminds me of what happened in his MG3 machine gun video. Basically he was praising the gun and what I said was that while it is good, POF should move forward with a new locally made solution. His responce? the MG3 is doing what it is meant to do and does not need replacing.
In an another video, in which he was showcasing the BW rifle, I asked him why POF is still using the roller delayed system and isn't moving towards gas operated system. His reply was the roller delayed system is working perfectly and we shouldn't believe everything we see in movies and such.
I understand the logic of not trying to fix smething that isn't broken as well the cost and time required to upgrade to a new platform but it certainly dosen't mean that we shouldn't try to move on to a modern gun.

If that was the case we would still be using muskets they "don't fix something that ain't broken" Mentality shows that not only are the Ok with mediocrity with prefer it, forget that the a soldier has to break his back carrying a MG3 or Bruise their shoulders trying to deal with the G3s insane recoil, forget it because babus said "don't try to fix something that ain't broken".

Isnt it true that the TALIBANs are better equiped then our foot soliders in terms of rifles? they have been rocking expensive AR 15s and M4s for quite some time....even the BLA has good rifles now..sad to see man....

Better rifles don't necessarily make them better fighters. They are smart. The M-16 / M-4 is lighter than an AK.
