This platform is excellent for a cheap AEW role, especially in peacetime. Between the tires, in that compartment, it can hold an AESA like the P-8's now do, a smaller one similar to Erieye's design.

In the next few years when Pakistan makes it's own AESA radars, it can build a very cheap work-horse AEW solution by using this platform.

why do you come up with the stupidest possible solutions?

c208s are unpressurised, fly at relatively low altitudes, even if it somehow hit its max alt of 25,000ft, everyone would need to be wearing oxygen.

all the modifications and restructuring would add so much weight the thing would not take off or climb...

If you were an aviation engineer, a technician or even an avid enthusiast, you would not have responded with such dumb post as always!

I'll respond to your posts when I see some educated material, either participating in the discussion, or, asking me to share my viewpoint. Stupidfying posts doesn't require a response. When you start to show me with basic English writing skills (- insults), it will show me you have the mental capacity to engage in a discussion, then I'm here. But I think it's beyond your mental capacity.

Here's a reference. Chinese, Russian and other navies use this helicopter based platforms for AEW roles with 300+KM coverage at or above 10K feet! And you've screwed up a good discussion with dumb arguments knowing nothing about the subject!

yeah moron they use heli based AEW because they HAVE to, they have no other CHOICE for naval ops. Even then, the cabins are more voluminous than a caravan. Imagine being this braindead and retarded

You should really stop trying to be a smartarse about tuff you've got no clue on. Your kind of stupidity belongs on Quora.

Stay being an enthusiast, or a retard, whichever suits you best. I work on these things on a daily basis OTOH. Stick to the toys beta.

Can the 208 in Chicago, be fitted with floats? Or too many cycles, means not really worth the hassle?

Sorry for off topic post
