Apparently this guy doesn't know that Durand line is international border between Pakistan and Afghanistan as per the constitution that he is supposed to defend and asking Afghans to accept it is exactly what constitution says

whats more, he dishonors the Pashtun code by feeding on the funds and perks he gets from the Pakistani federation but bitches and bites it and considers himself a national of a failed nation that prides itself for being in an eternal conflict for centuries.
what's more, his ego has been boasted by Pakistan's biggest political party by nominating him as opposition leader, a position and recognition he doesnt deserve.

Point to be noted: why did Pakistan’s biggest political party had to choose him? Why wasn’t there anyone else available to give military establishment a worthy challenge? 🙄

I AM thankful for their services to the nation. But I just can’t worship them as "heroes" like the recent 27th "amendment" demands. 🙄
I agree, criticism and condemnation where its due. but don't criticse the wisdom of sage Khan or a hell will be let lose on you reaching even your family. my University teacher Haider Mahdi , (yes him) a prominent PTI supporter and critic of establishment has tasted that himself.
if you want I can share my conversation with him. so yea, only citicise the army please.

Armed forces are duty bound to defend the country from external enemies. Why was this even a question? 🙄
Unfortunately our country's politicians corrupt to core since late 40s ( after murder of Liaquat Ali Khan) that's why army always interfered in Pakistani politics, and let me tell you some weird facts that in Marshal laws there were more development compare to so called your demarcated govt of Pakistan since 50s ( with the exception of yahya khan govt)

But it does!! They shat on the overwhelming majority's choice and installed their own, and now amending the constitution as well. You are a bloody civilian. Know your place.

Imran got only 30% of popular votes in the 2024 elections. No party ever in Pakistan's history reached even 40%. What makes Imran support as 'overwhelming majority'?? Are you guys saying those Sindhis who blindly vote for the Bhuttos suddenly voted for the Messiah Khan? They number in tens of millions. And while Imran might have been a little more popular then the Sharifs in Punjab but the Sharifs and their entrenched allies DO HAVE their own constituencies developed over the decades. Then what about the nationalist and religious parties of Pakistan? They too have their own vote banks.

This garbage about Imran has the support of the majority of Pakistan is pure garbage, paddled by his supporters and often with a veiled threat to release him, make him the king again or else!!

You haven't seen what people living in Pakistan have seen in last general elections. Apart from the most intellectually dishonest one's, everyone will tell you who won by a landslide. It wasn't even close with anyone else.

The phuddus in power took the election symbols, harassed people, made it extremely hard for youngsters to vote ( changed their polling areas to far flung areas, mine was 67kms from my place ), and still there was no stopping PTI.

Touch some grass Unc.

Good point! Pakistan has now no reservations to have a proper "buffer zone" like the way Turkey did on Syria. Put all the refugees there and open them for the international aid....

Leaders like him lack the clarity to lead. This issue is not about "Pashtun tahaffuz". It is about a foreign power destabilizing Pakistan and some parties leaning on that to push their domestic agenda. The less said the better about this.

Let's also be clear that in general no Pashtun wants Pakistan's FATA/KP to be absorbed by the Takfiris sitting in Kabul no matter the ethnic linkages.

The rationale on the other side first - The reason this Takfiri Emirate of Afghanistan (TEA) is hurtling down the path of conflict with Pakistan knowing it stands very little chance in a head-on confrontation is because violence, destabilization is conducive to their goal of an ideological, takfiri take-over of Pakistan along with Afghanistan. They have not thought through what it will take for this to become reality but ongoing "Takifiri fassad" is their means to this end. So not matter what Pakistan offers, TEA will never abandon the destabilization efforts against Pakistan and TTP is their instrument.

PTI may think that it can operate in this conflict from the sidelines (which is what it has done thus far by sticking to basic non-polemics to avoid any strong anti-Taliban positions) and letting the center duke it out with the TTP/Afghanistan. The violence in KP will increase manifold in the coming period. Their own ppl will start questioning the PTI leadership for its lack of resolve in this fight. Recent reporting suggests a lot of the funding for TEA/TTP is coming from poppy cultivation inside of FATA. These sources need to be cut off and urgency needs to be applied to the requests to Qatar/KSA to completely cut off Taliban from all foreign funding and any/all international support. Except India, there are no other takers of Taliban on the Int'l stage and Pakistan needs to push this narrative hard.

Overall, Pakistan's choices are limited and of varying costs but whichever side has the stronger resolve will win this out (and keep in mind that Taliban's choices are even more limited). If Pakistan resolves to hit Afghan and TTP kinetically and otherwise in Kabul and elsewhere, then it will need to be a sustained campaign taking the fight inside of Afghanistan instead of letting Pakistani mainland be the battlefield. Turkish experiences with Kurds in Syria could be used as example. Each attack should result in significant damage inside of Kabul/Kandahar and also include periodic takeover of bordering Afghan posts and potentially areas well inside their borders for indefinite timeframe so the staging ground for Taliban/TTP gets pushed further away from KP/Tribal areas.

It goes without saying that Pakistan will need to stir up the ethnic fault-lines in Afghanistan. Economically, Pakistan needs to tighten all trade to Afghanistan and just do the bare minimum as the UN expects for landlocked nations.

If there is a behavioral change seen on the part of TEA, tactics need to be relaxed to offer carrots. Indians will try to play spoilers but if there is continued covert/overt support, Pakistan has to activate options in IIOK and potentially even in the Indian Punjab, Sikkim etc. to raise the costs for Indian machinations. However, the first order of the day is to put military and economic pressure on the Afghan Taliban. This can be done but needs a strong resolve and not one that get's disturbed by nonsensical domestic politics.

Maybe now. The future may be different

Yes, Pakistan may also decide to not declare the durand line as border and take control of their land like wakhan and paktika which should have been Pakistan. This works both ways.

Afghanistan will never be a nuclear country and Pakistan will always be able to militarily overpower them and dominate their airspace especially.

These talibs are the not the smartest, they were hiding in caves or getting tortured in guantenamo bay because they decided protect OBL. They are unable to comprehend consequences of their actions and long term repercussions.

I believe the Constitution of Pakistan has been stripped of its weight and value. Through consistent abuse and disregard, it is no longer treated as the binding document it was meant to be. A constitution is not a buffet for the powerful to pick from. As the Supreme Court has underscored, the people of Pakistan have been robbed of their genuine franchise. This is not a PTI-specific viewpoint, but a perspective grounded solely in democratic values and the rule of law.
