Pakistan Closes Airspace to Taiwanese Airlines in Support of China

I have already explained this issue to you in my previous comments.

Regarding international affairs, the Chinese people appreciate Pakistan’s support for the Chinese government’s position. However, the Taiwan question is an internal Chinese affair.

I have just looked into this further.

Chinese media outlets have cited a Bloomberg report regarding this move by Pakistan. Even more striking is that *Guangming Daily*—one of the few official Chinese state media outlets to cover the story—also relied on the Bloomberg report.

This clearly indicates that Pakistan did not consult with the relevant Chinese authorities before taking this action. *Guangming Daily* serves as an official mouthpiece for the Chinese government—ranking second only to the *People’s Daily*—and maintains direct communication channels with the highest levels of the Chinese government. They could have easily verified the information with the relevant Chinese state institutions directly, without needing to cite any foreign media. The fact that they reported it in this manner suggests that the relevant Chinese government bodies were unaware of the matter beforehand.

Even if Pakistan didn't consult China, it doesn't make an iota of difference. Pakistan has warned Taiwan that it cannot act like a renegade province of China. Pakistan supports one China policy. This move absolutely confirms this.

The Taiwanese are crying like their mother died, but that doesn't affect us in the slightest. We simply support our state policy. The ban was fully in alignment with Pakistan's one China policy.

Taiwan airlines has the option of diverting to poop air space of India.

Michael has his moments. Often he blames his lack of English vocabulary for the misunderstanding. I think his English is just fine.

Michael is having too many contradictory moments.

Why your online war with Turkish people is not an internal affair then? Why did you ask Pakistanis for their opinion on the matter?

Is your comprehension poor, or did I fail to express myself clearly?

In that thread, I made my position quite clear. Regarding the issues between China and Turkey, I never asked any Pakistanis to take a side. The real question to consider is how Pakistan can ensure it doesn't get caught up in the fallout of this dispute.

Did you smoke some heavy-duty weed again today???

Of course, Pakistan could do that.

Pakistan is an independent, sovereign state. Under international law, it has the right to decide who may pass through its airspace, without needing to consult other nations.

But why are you doing this? What is your objective? And will you ultimately succeed in achieving that objective? You need to think for yourself.

@Panda_Hi may be he loves China, no problem with that, but he needs to tone down while addressing friends of China. Pakistani people and Pakistani state react in two very different ways.

Hi, you’ve expressed your views, and I’m sure Michael will see your comment.

Thanks for letting me know. On this matter, I can’t speak for others, so I’ll leave this to Michael.

On October 29, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun hosted a regular press conference.

记者提问,巴基斯坦防长阿西夫28日表示,巴基斯坦已对来自中国台湾地区的航空公司关闭领空,以坚持一个中国政策,这也是全球第一个采取类似措施的国家,请问中方有何评论?
A reporter asked for comment on remarks made by Pakistani Defense Minister Asif on October 28, in which he stated that Pakistan has closed its airspace to airlines from the Taiwan region of China in order to uphold the "one-China" policy—making it the first country globally to take such a measure.

郭嘉昆表示,一个中国原则是国际社会广泛共识。据我们了解,台湾地区民众的国际出行没有障碍。

Guo Jiakun stated that the "one-China" principle is a broad consensus within the international community. As far as we are aware, there are no obstacles for residents of the Taiwan region to travel internationally.

The facts are clear: this is nothing more than a "farce." Game over!
