'Pakistan is likely to enjoy closeness with the US, China and Saudi Arabia. This is different from its relative isolation of recent years. Ashutosh Varshney, Sol Goldman Professor of International Studies and the Social Sciences and Professor of Political Science at Brown University, explains in this week's column for ThePrint'

  • Around 6:06 mark, the host confirms that the U.S. forced Pakistan to withdraw during Kargil (IMO the war was a Pakistani blunder).

'Pakistan is getting new friends, conflicts with India likely to grow'

implies

Pak. is a puppet, find the strings

Pakistan had same "friends" in past but not same circumstances, he should work on that premise.

The premise of the video maybe right: Pakistan now has strong allies and Pakistani diplomacy is in overdrive mode to strengthen them and add more allies with a singular focus to achieve such a deterrence that India dare not do another 2016, 2019, and 2025. It is cringe worthy to see Pakistan downplaying Trump's role in Palestine but I strongly believe Pakistani planners have calculated that not only Pakistan can't do much there but also needs to take advantage of Trump's growing warming of relations with Pakistan. Everything is about India and against India in Pakistani calculations. And if Trump remains the President till January 2029 then I expect some even worse days for India.

Every other major international media outlet, for example The Washington Post, has given the 'six air bases hit' figure, and if we dive deeper, the 'six air bases' figure crumbles even more, since out of those six, two were auxiliary/secondary fields, and yes, their primary designation is airports, since they are not even active air bases but rather small secondary/wartime airfields (Rahim Yar Khan Airport/Sukkur Airport).

Best source?

Indian strikes on Pakistan damaged six airfields, Post analysis finds - The Washington Post

You guys targeted more than 11 air bases. We successfully defended our other air bases.
