What’s surprising is the disconnect between the facts on the ground reality and the narrative some Indian commentators keep repeating. Even after suffering major setbacks from 6-0 aircraft losses to damaged bases and lost two S-400 but public conversation in India often shifts into a Bollywood‑style victory script. It’s as if the media storyline matters more than the actual outcomes. That gap between reality and the narrative is what makes the whole situation feel so detached.

Ok let's say you managed to get a thousand men behind the frontline with Paragliders what then? They will be surrounded on all sides with no resupply and no Heavy equipment so you are sending them out on a suicide mission.
They can capture supplies or even vehicles from locals. and can even penetrate 100s KMs deeper and continue their mission for months.

It is just cringe how pathetic they are. Pakistan acting like a real power in diplomacy, Indians begging Italy not to sell weapons to Pakistan. Sums up everything going on right now.

I've always found Channel 4 news to be fairly impartial in the UK, ask thoughtful questions, and provide some good insight and analysis. The recent discussion between Matt Frei and Mark Urban was quite interesting, worth a listen.

People often mistake them for being naive, but that’s not really the issue. The real problem is the absence of long‑term vision and strategic depth. Their attempt to gain leverage by aligning themselves with controversial geopolitical positions including what many analysts describe as a perceived closeness to Israel, hasn’t delivered the outcomes they expected, and in some ways, it may have even created new complications.

Recent remarks by Rajnath Singh, along with the tone and signaling at the SCO meeting, suggest that something bigger may be shifting behind the scenes. At the same time, groups like the RSS are facing increasing scrutiny from civil‑rights organizations abroad, and comments made by a senior RSS figure in a recent U.S. interview introduced a narrative that doesn’t fully match the one presented domestically.

One thing that does work in Modi’s favor, however, is the strength of India’s economic position. India doesn’t rely heavily on remittances to keep its economy afloat, and the government benefits from well‑connected financial backers and a large, diversified economic base. That gives them room to absorb political shocks and maintain confidence even when their foreign‑policy gambles don’t go as planned.

Taken together, all of this points to a political landscape that is far more complex and unsettled than it appears on the surface.

Our capability to hit them deep is the real issue. India can't be hurt from Bangladesh side as Bengali reset ties with Delhi again. ...
What do you mean exactly?

Is there any part of India thats out of Pakistan's range?

Do you think Indian military flies its air aircraft from eastern side of India to attack Pakistan?

They can only go back so much, which means it creates distance for them and gives us more than ample time to respond.

The Indians can't hide as we won't let them.

.... India is doing mock drills on daily basis and blackout etc. question is why we aren't doing the same? We should prepare our people for an all out war against India.

India is waiting for the right moment. India will never accept the humiliation it got in may last year. It's like a frustrating loser who wants to take a revenge. ...

Humiliation is not a choice. It's what we imposed on them, their only choice is to live with it.

2019: India humiliated.
2025: India humiliated again, but insulted by Donald Trump for 12 months.

Let them fire the first shot if they're that eager, and see what happens.

All very good points, and well articulated, but I would add perception counts for a lot too, and in this area they seem to be failing miserably. Imagine the Greek defence minister begging Italy not to sell weapons to Turkiye? Even if that does happen, it is behind closed doors. Indians simply cannot miss a chance for chest thumping, and as we saw with "Fatherland" and "Motherland", it can backfire massively.

All this while Munir knows the very top powers in Moscow, Riyadh, Beijing, Tehran and Washington will take his call anytime of day. Now compare this to some of the crazy speeches coming from Indian leadership.
