The 12 new Su-30MKIs ordered by the Indian Air Force (contract signed in December 2024 with HAL) are built to the full “Super Sukhoi” standard.

There is NO evidence of this. The "Super Sukhoi" is still in development, with the AESA radar (Virupaksha AESA Radar) still in design/prototyping phase.

No, the 12 SU-30MKIs are all basic MKIs. "Super Sukhoi" does not even exist in prototype form. Are things that bad for IAF you are not BLATANTLY LYING?

For Super Sukhoi, modified existing Su-30MKIs will handle the testing — no need for a clean-sheet prototype (maybe just one or two test aircraft).

Same with J-16: it didn’t go through a big prototype stage, only one or two early aircraft.

Tejas Mk1A also didn’t have a major prototype programme — the “prototype” was basically an old Mk1 airframe modified with the new systems.

India is unlikely to rely entirely on large fighter formations in a future conflict. It can lean heavily on stand-off weapons instead. The roughly 40 Su-30MKIs modified to carry BrahMos can provide a substantial long-range strike capability, while Jaguars can employ Storm Shadow and Rafales can employ SCALP.

Once Tejas enters the picture in larger numbers, this becomes even easier because it can integrate a broad range of Indian cruise missiles, glide bombs and laser-guided weapons. Until then, the existing 40 modified Su-30MKI fleet should be sufficient for a significant portion of the stand-off strike role—even with around 50% availability, that would still leave roughly 20 aircraft available.

Upgrading the entire Su-30MKI fleet for BrahMos may not be economically practical, given the nearing retirement of the aircraft and the increasing induction of Tejas. The focus will be on getting the most capability from the platforms already modified while transitioning toward newer platforms.

HAL can produce 12 aircraft in less than a year, so why would it take 5 years? It’s taking time because it’s Super Sukhoi.

Maybe they can use the tried and tested Indian tactic of hiding in the landing gear. After that...not sure, maybe climb out mid-flight to perform a daring hijack?
