Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Hi, I want to highlight that Pakistan was also restrained in its response. If you read the article by Alan Warnes in AFM, it states the PAF could have shot down 20+ IAF jets but held back. In the latter stages of the conflict, they had the opportunity to hit an IAF A50 but did not as they did not want to escalate.

In 2019, AVM Chisti clearly stated in an interview the PAF could have downed 8-9 IAF jets but held back, as they did not want to escalate.

Now an argument can be made from these statements from the PAF, that Pakistan did not want to invite a heavier retaliation to its airbases and assets in either conflict, but we will never know.

I have also mentioned in other posts, that I spoke to PAF members at RIAT 2025, and they mentioned the JF-17 launched a whole bunch of ordinances on India also.

Somewhere between the stories of the IAF/IA and PAF lies the truth....

I hope there is no further action between either country as it could really spiral out of control and Pakistan has said it will hit deeper inside India this time. I hope cooler minds prevail for both countries!!!

Pakistan could not have shot down 20 IAF jets because if it could, it would.

Don’t fall for the lullabies meant for the army brats.

PAF did exceptionally well in May 2025, no need to ruin it with these sorts of silly statements. In war, you either annihilate the enemy, or he annihilates you.

I think it's more about how many aircrafts you can shoot down while making certain your aircrafts don't get shot down. If you are allowed to take on some more risky scenarios then PAF might have shot down more aircrafts but our aircrafts would have faced danger of getting shot down also. I don't think a few more kills were worth that risk.

Guys what is this. Was going from 2 talwar to punjab chowrangi. Direction of this trail was towards boat basin. Plus it was really fast. At 4.55 pm today.

Thick trail is 4.55 and thin one was like 5.05 pm
Nothing special....Air liner smoke....contrail.....I also saw it.

You must be thinking about lenticular clouds .....we saw in November.....2025....

We prioritized the Rafales which still do have much better self protection capabilities than the rest of old machines - although the silent kill chain ensured minimum reaction time even for Rafales too.

Wonder what would be the outcome if this Rafale priority wasn't considered. I'd expect a bigger kill count for sure.

Even before the wreckages were found, we knew which aircarft were shot - that means our electronic threat libraries were up to date and accurate and we could distinguish between the aircrafts being targeted.

Now compare with the IAF - they can't even say for sure, even though for the sake of a lie, which aircrafts they shot. "High-tech aircrafts". "From 'F16 to JF17 class" "one large body aircraft".

Such were the statements from their leadership. And then, the Chief sahb goes on, "we still have some IFF issues" and "Es dafa na unkay jahaz idar aaye, na hamary udar gaye, to thora asaaan tha".

I mean dude seriously, are you saying, geographical spacing was the only reason you could distinguish your aircrafts from the enemy’s? How would you fight a battle in a contested airspace when aircrafts start crossing over the borders? And that too, after a fratricide incident in 2019 -- Unbelievable.

This sort of stuff coming from their top leadership should be totally unacceptable for the people of India and they should be grilling their air marshals for such serious incompetencies. But No - all is well.

What ishappening all around Pakistan...is also blessing for us....as well as a lesson ....prepare yourself on your own....protect your motherland by your own strength....no promises...no friendship ...no brotherhood....works....

You have to have a solid and reliable defense shield .....this is well understood and InshaAllah will be demonstrated....in due time.

This makes sense.

RoE was - "assure kill, deny own loss".
