Fourth, at present, like China and many others, Russia prefers diplomacy to war in the Iran conflict and recognises the pivotal role being played by Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir's next destination is also expected to be Moscow. The state visit, scheduled for March, was postponed due to regional developments.
