India has always maintained that a nuclear exchange between India and Pakistan is not a viable possibility, not because both countries are mature, but because of the military asymmetry between them.A nuclear strike from either side will destroy the entire region because of the close proximity and climatic conditions ....the hangging nuclear clouds ....and post explosion apocalypse will erode all economic activities for all neighbors as well ....no one will win .....so India....think about it ....
Indian military officials have repeatedly stated that India is prepared to neutralise Pakistani nuclear missiles at their launch sites before they can be fired. Pakistan developed smaller nuclear weapons, commonly known as tactical or battlefield nuclear weapons, to counter India’s conventional military superiority and this very strategy.
However, whether these so-called tactical nukes would actually be effective or whether their battlefield use makes any strategic sense remains questionable.
Regardless, India has consistently rejected the prospect of a nuclear exchange with Pakistan.
