The French made a terrible mistake by selling their premium fighter to India.

They needed the money and the GCC can only spend so much. The French need the money to fund their next generation fighter program. I doubt they will want India to join that program after their performance this time around.

India has hurt the reputation of French equipment for future orders by the likes of some countries. The Indians owe the French orders now, to at least compensate them for the loss.
