I have said this many many times in the missile thread. Pakistan CANNOT afford to lack in the missile development. Pakistan did incredibly well with the introduction of the Fatah missile system. It is cheaper and incredibly effective. Nevertheless, you need extra punch and that comes in the shape of genuine ASM/AGM launched hypersonic cruise missiles. India benefitted with the use of BrahMos missile. We saw a clear advantage. This deficiency needs to be resolved. Also, Pakistan needs to focus on all other missile development programs including, Ababeel MIRV, SLCM/SLBM/SLCMN etc. It seems that after US pressure Pakistan has slowed down the development. The progress is lacking. Pakistan needs to address this.

Apart from urgent missile development, Pakistan also lacks in anti-missile coverage. The Pakistani anti-missile systems have performed really well. They have intercepted Indian missiles, but once the systems are overwhelmed the numbers game comes into play. Of course China will learn from this conflict and also improve its anti-missile systems.

Pakistan is drastically improving its naval capabilities. The navy is going to play a very important role in the coming years.

@Panzerkiel hope the right departments have started taking notes on this.

Air launched cruise missiles with range exceeding 500km & proper kamikaze drones, not the Turkish stick drone.

What do you think happened that night? PAF engaged in some sort of operations and per Indian reports, there were engagements around Srinagar and elsewhere Jammu Kashmir. PAF hasn’t commented on this operation except to say that all PAF assets safely returned to base.
 
Pakistan should develop their own version of Iron dome and place in every single city.....

Tbf the whole concerning & the only thing they can twist to their liking is the cruise missile strikes which did some damage & that's a concern.

This shouldn't be the norm, a deterrence has to be put in place, only way is you dish a cruise missile out in reply.

Iron dome wont stop anything, you need to build capacity our AD did a fine job with the numbers we currently have just need to increase the batteries & coverage.

Also implementing a korkut type system isn't a bad idea for saturation type attacks.

They were leakers, a higher percentage was intercepted. It was not something we don’t completely have an answer for.

Going forth, we will have more of the same AD making overlapping bubbles of engagement plus plans of short ranged system is already under works with LY70 being touted by many to be in pipeline.

What they hit in RYK is not a defence asset or an airport used by Pakistanis.

We do need more oerlikon derivatives with AHEAD either from Turkey or China. But the AD did a pretty good job against the drones.

Also maybe upgrade the bofors 40mm and 37mm for the purpose.

We got luck here. Lesson learnt should be that in times of heightened threat, out air assets should be better protected. That's way too close for comfort.....

More concerned of the hits at Bholari & Sindh.

When the enemy feels comfortable you start losing the field, i know now isn't the time to go back, but as soon as Indians launched cruise missiles our response should have also been cruise missiles.


Not sure which genius decided Fatah 1 artillery rockets would return the favour.
