U don't have to understand it all as if u were an architect of the system urself...
...u could just consider it in broader terms.
One of the reasons PAF has been so effective against IAF not just recently but also back in 2019 and before that...
...isn't just bcuz of J10C or PL15. If acquiring a shiny new toy could give u an edge...then India would have had it with Rafale and meteor, or Su30MKI before that...and so on.
One of the major reasons is that...
It had more to do with PAF's ability to correctly look ahead...as what's to come...predict correctly how future battles will be fought...and prepare accordingly.
This has been a journey rather than purchasing the shiniest toy on the market...here is one example
Project Vision
PAF worked hard to create a network that pools together all the information from the sensors. This means everything that the ground radars, airborne jets(radars of AWACS/fighter jets/IRST sensors), drones...everything that they pick up ..is compiled together as a RAP(recognized air picture)...
...PAF went on to develop its own data link
...PAF improved upon the initial project Vision by integrating air defense systems(I assume PA's air defense systems are also part of it).
So for example a Chinese radar and an American radar...aren't operating in their respective bubble...same goes for Chinese jets(J10), American jets(F16), or French(Mirages). If that was ever the case...it would be hopeless for PAF.
PN and PA have also progressed similarly and all 3 branches have strived for better integration.
There were even tweets(unverified) that PL15s were guided by other assets(not the launch platform...perhaps AWACS)...this too...not long ago was considered a futuristic concept. It was merely proposed/talked about in the last 20 or so years.
Then there's the IADS(Integrated Air Defense systems)...threat assessment, classification...destroying incoming missiles/drones that posed the most threats...using soft kill(jamming, GPS spoofing) and hard kill methods...not engaging(wasting an expensive air defense missiles) if a projectile was to fall in a non populated area.
Basically...all the systems...ideally should operate together...painting a complete picture, coordinating all efforts to yield maximum effect.
