His comments were still immature by mentioning "3 or 4 countries" and Turkey, why mention Turkey which is merely a supplier? It's like Pakistan saying it was fighting 5 or so countries because India procures weapons from Russia, France, Israel, etc.
Also it seems he was mostly alluding to satellite support, I wouldn't be surprised if India had partners giving such support too like Russia. China is just more in the open with its ties because Indians tend to complain more (not referring to general here)
I agree that 3-4 country was an open ended comment and should have been specific with the names of those countries, if it was so.
Chinese support was almost openly known but Turkish supply of some stuff as the conflict was raging is also a strong possibility. There were few C130s that flew from Turkey to Pakistan during those 88 hours. Military aircraft during those days aren’t likely to be for mundane cargo but something of great urgency, either to bolster or to make up for the losses.
Supplying weapons before a war and during a war aren’t the same things. During a conflict, is akin to directly participating in it.
There is nothing wrong or right in such support and any country can do that.
But, the parties involved, make their plans based on the known factors. China actively joining hands with Pakistan is as alarming as it can get. A country like China, providing open support can’t be treated lightly and a matter of grave concern for India.
This time it was most probably ISR support, but didn't that matter the most on the first day. Next time it could go one step further. Why next time, it could have happened this time itself, had things escalated.
Russian support to India is possible but unlikely during those days. Primarily due to limitations imposed on them due to war in their own backyard.
General, said these things openly. His talk also touched upon areas where we need to improve. All in all, it was an analysis of what worked and what didn’t and why.
But, there are multiple posts and even a thread, created to twist and misinterpret his comments, as an admission of defeat. Nothing but a lie and propaganda.
