Next time I don't want to hear this "time and place of our choosing" nonsense.

theyve been doing these since may, no one is threatened by these stupid NOTAMs especially when they crash their own planes doing these exercisesNo its not ......domestic audience to International audience will take no time.....take this Notam a serious step...
They won't be sit until they do something crazy

Yes, and in the short term we can't rebuild our missile defenses overnight. Long term shooting down Indian Air Force planes while spectacular will not prevent grievous damage to our infrastructure and assets.air defense is not in great shape and has several loopholes thanks to idiots sitting at the helm of affairs. Wr should've worked that out before the 7th let alone 10th May.
yep, though its good we didnt reveal our missile capabilities and instead used rocketsYes, and in the short term we can't rebuild our missile defenses overnight. Long term shooting down Indian Air Force planes while spectacular will not prevent grievous damage to our infrastructure and assets.

A parallel:
In 1943 the German Air Force had spectacular successes against British and American bombers trying to bomb Germany, but eventually the attrition had an effect causing Germany to lose the war. Germany had no long range heavy bombers and escort fighters to bomb the UK in retaliation which was the base from where the bombing raids took place. German V1 "cruise missiles" (called flying bombs in that era) and V2 " ballistic missiles " ( called rockets in that era ) came far too late to save Germany.
-------------------------------------+-------------------
There won't be another air-to-air battle. In the next round it will be a brutal exchange of drones, ballistic missiles and hypersonic cruise missiles. It's a mutually assured destruction on a conventional level with thousands of missiles exchanged.
The urgency to equip ourselves adequately to deliver a brutal retaliation for an enemy misadventure cannot be overstated.
@OscarOne thing is quite interesting.
It can be seen that PL-15 outranges the meteor(by only a small margin) lets say a J-10C is looking at Rafale contact on the Indian side you can see where it can engage from and perhaps even the JF-17 can engage from.
View attachment 136205But if you look at the overlapping larger circle in this second image from the Indian side, it seems that if on the initial engagements the PAF simply stayed out of the S-400 engagement range at Adampur it can still take pot shots at the Rafale well inside Indian airspace. HOWEVER the PAF claims it was operating closer to the border so the question isnt just for the IAF as to why no Meteors were available but for the S-400 as well.
Why did it not get used if at any point it had PAF aircraft within engagement even though they ridiculously claim this longest SAM kill against an Erieye well beyond the effective Range of the S-400?

Great post.....last line on post " A ground offensive will wreak havoc. Get the hint.."....we should read it again and again....Also note that this time around the IAF has worked out a plan on how to take on the PAF
They're rigorously using active jamming and sweeping aggressively. Past two drills signify their use of netcentric warfare tactics. They're planning and practicong simultaneous sorties over all major PAF bases before enemy counter. I said it before and i repeat we cannot be complacent against them ever. 7th May will stand out but they're ready and alert this time. Our air defense is not in great shape and has several loopholes thanks to idiots sitting at the helm of affairs. Wr should've worked that out before the 7th let alone 10th May.
Are we even ready? From the looks of it and all the political and administrative goofing goim on. We aren't. A ground offensive will wreak havoc. Get the hint.
Or maybe they did and are finding excuses@Oscar
This is what i had asked earlier in one of your posts.....why S-400 didn't do anything, and it lends credible weight to what was discussed earlier that PAF had intensely jammed their whole network centric setup.......when their jets were being shot at and falling from sky, they still didn't do anything.........what was going on? What actually happened? and what PAF will do next time since these vile bhindians will be more than eager to take a shot at PAF while within PAF airspace.
Having their top line jets shot down within own airspace is too much humiliating......imagine the psychological terror it cast over their pilots and AD units that night.
Plus, i am not sure PL15 is only minor outranging the Meteor.....which version has what range, i am sure no one exactly knows. Could be even longer range PL15s available than the ones used and validated on May 7th. There is more and more news that Meteors were not fully integrated on Indian Rafales........why were they not carrying any and instead carrying MICA?
then they will be glassed, we will glass each other to hellGreat post.....last line on post " A ground offensive will wreak havoc. Get the hint.."....we should read it again and again....
Do not assume that Indians are Just doing all the stunts for local audience....

Be realistic ....ground offensive would mean different....difficult to hold offensive push...until call for tactical parmanu strike....then they will be glassed, we will glass each other to hell

Again new war new era....no mass mobilization to capture enemy territory....just use your own ground and start targeting infrastuture
In just few minutes the other side will be in sheer shock.....the response and retaliation are the secondary thing....
For a moment, forget Chinese help...what else can we do to first stop missile strikes and then launch counter attack while still being under enemy attack
A scenario where PAF role is limited ...
I think India is actually trying to collect intelligence via these notams and other exercises. They underestimated Pakistan the last time and paid a very heavy price so now want to collect precise information about Pakistani radar coverage, response times, AD etc for the next round. I suspect they are trying to do this in the sea as well as the next round will be exchange of missiles and naval action.PAF and IAF almost had another 7th May on the night of 18-19 July. Phalcons flew close to the border for hours with several dozen jets lurking just behind as PAF flew several aggressive sorties and kept them in check until dawn. Things are heating up again folks.
Yes bro.....focus on Combat Drones and assured missile capabilities....less investment on ADs because it won't work as shown papers and presentations.....Yes, massive concntration of armour would be sitting ducks for drones and missiles now.
Game has changed massively, Army still important but less so.
What we really need to focus on is the use of Special Forces for strategic effect.
Israel and Ukraine SF showed the way here.
