Interesting why IAF CAS had to create an imaginary 5 jets and 1 large aircrafts. Why is 6 significant here?

Could be highly likely PAF claims of 6 jets downed are true (clear documentary evidence of 4 aircrafts) and the IAF CAS wants to maintain equilibrium with his own imaginary numbers.

It's just to satisfy the internal Indian audience. The CAS message addresses that directly:

1- India 6 against Pak 6.
2- There are no restrictions, and the forces have a free hand.

Simply face saving for Modi & Co.
