The intel was indeed there about the impending attack. How precise - is debateable. However, you can't expect to be fed 100% accurate intel. Intel did its part very well.

If the CAS was himself sleeping in Ops room. You can only imagine about the commanders at lower tiers across the whole air force.

When IAF put up such large numbers in air.
PAF initially tried to deter IAF by putting up a strong DCA as our objective initially was only to deter. When it didn't happen - RoEs were changed mid-air and clearances were passed to shoot. That's what the AVM basically said.

I think he also completely missed the point........with 72 IAF jets in the air, Air Chief and PAF would have assumed IAF was ready for air battle......hence the term self defense.......as we found out and factually, IAF had nothing longer range than PL15 to target any of the PAF airborne assets....so once they released the strike weapons, our self defense went from self defending our fighters to killing the jets that launched weapons.

This literally was the moment PAF could have smashed IAF to bits. they had no inkling what happened to them.

To be honest I think they made a big big mistake not doing a mid life upgrade for the entire SU-30MKI Fleet around 10 years ago.

2019 showed it cannot take on the F-16/AMRAAM combo and May showed it cannot take on the J-10/PL-15 combo.

It is massively outranged in missile tech and radar tech. Indians were going on about it being "Raptor of the East", "Mini-AWACS" etc

To make up numbers they had to throw in SU-30s against us probably knowing they were vulnerable.

Issue is they have 12 full Sqds of them with poor servicability. If they had done what China did with J-16 PAF would be screwed right now. They do not have to replace the engine

Get Israel to make a larger version of Elta 2052, mate it with the Rafael Sky Sting, SU-30 could probably carry 8 of them.

If IAF had done that fleet wide it would be in a very string position now.

Instead they are sending those birds up with 1990s Bars radar and 70 mile range R-77s.

Highly doubt the effectiveness of the R77's 70 mile range even......that's longer than the AIM120Cs PAF had back in 2019.

Russian electronics tech is no where near the current Chinese tech or USA tech. Infact, not even europeans can hold much there. And for China KLJ7, PL15 etc is a decade old tech.....just wait and watch next decade.

India just bet on the losing horse with procuring Russian weapons.

Truth is, they overhype their stuff and have been found shitting with it when the moment arises.

Remember the limited resources we have and what they (bhindians have).......and even then scrambling in your jets, flying cool and calm and making enemy shit in its pants. Buddy, what PAF pilots and controllers pulled off that night, is stuff of legends.....they have every reason to celebrate. If anything, keeps the morale high and sets the standard higher for juniors to follow.

Yes lost for words and looking for an escape route and manages to score own goal in process, he thinks PAF launched a SAR helicopter but we know IAF did so , the Mi-17 that was shot down by the Indian SAM killing the six crews.
Obviously the SAR wasn't launched to recover Abhinandan.

Yes - shoot and scoot. Keeping safe distances and particularly targetting non-fighter bases. They didn’t take off from western bases of IAF. Came full throttle from deep inside their airspace. Launched weapons from far away and immediately turned around.
