SAMs aren’t the real concern - it’s the ancillary equipment for the EW domain which has been bought in droves with advisors from usual suppliers providing complete playbooks in the most easy “EW for dummies” form along with setting up part ML based sequencing with that equipment.

These procurements are to fill gaping holes in the inventory of the defence forces.
In the past many governments including this have been sleeping over induction of equipment for the defence forces. After every skirmish a lip service is paid and noises made to get more stuff but nothing ever happens.
Look at fighter squadron strength, AWACS, BVRs and many many more areas that have gone to dumps due to apathy.
Considering two active fronts many more S-400s and more systems are required.
There is only talk right now. Talk to Induction can be many decades away.
