In April 1976, PIA's very first Boeing B747-282B was delivered to its Karachi base in Pakistan. This aircraft made history for the airline and marked a new milestone.
The aircraft wore a newly designed color scheme of green flag and golden stripes. In reference to the national pride of the country, it emphasized Pakistan's flag colors in the painting. Its proud display of the emblem on its tail further added grandeur to the aircraft.
This was a defining moment for PIA as the airline expanded its fleet and embarked upon a new era of air travel. It symbolized modernity and national identity on the international front.
