Pakistan, Kuwait discuss expanded defence pact: report

The arrangement with Saudi is and should remain unique, and what Pakistan should be doing is attempting to create a security framework for the whole of the middle east that is along the lines of NATO where all the countries have to agree to change their conduct towards each other and adopt a one for all policy at a framework level to protect each other.

The double dealing of the Arab states, put Pakistan into a vulnerable position and I still question if Saudi's knew upfront about the attack on Iran, and if they decided to trap Pakistan inside a security framework that early in light of that knowledge.

There has been some talks between Türkiye, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi and Pakistan and this core forum should form the senior members of a new NATO like framework.

As to whether can include all the members of the Arab League + Turkieye + Iran + Pakistan or needs a smaller grouping

The current situation of Saudi Arabia being actively involved in a war against Iran, by providing bases, airspace and logistical support services for forces attacking Iran and then insisting that Pakistan "protect" it if Iran decides to escalate to go after those very installations, is not ideal for Pakistan and Pakistan should not really get into this situation again. Kuwait is being attacked for a reason, and that is its conduct against Iran militarily.

To me, at least this is a much broader topic and i think we should discuss it as such and the Mods should pin it as well ?

In Pakistan, they are raising Lashkars to fight, basically outsourcing it, and around the world, they want to fight on their behalf. All done by coercing the army's discipline and using Pakistan's public tax money.
Anyway, I am not sure why Kuwait needs it. Pak cannot defend it from Iran (proximity) unless Iran launches a ground invasion (Iran will definitely then turn out another Iraq).
