That was 10 April 1959 & an Eid day....when an Indian Air Force Canberra dared to sneak inside Pakistani territory considering the defenders of the skies must be just busy celebrating Eid's festivities and not mindful of their primary duty of safeguarding the country's aerial frontiers....

On 10 Apr, 1959, PAF made its first aerial victory by shooting down an IAF Canberra violating the Pakistani airspace in the vicinity of Rawalpindi. It happened through brave, utterly professional & valiant efforts by PAF's ace pilot Flt Lt Younas from No. 15 Squadron and presented nation a gift befitting to the occasion ... PAKISTAN AIR FORE ZINDABAD,..,PAKISTAN PAAINDABAD
