Pakistan Minerals and Mining Updates

This money will be used to expand industrial footprint with better manufacturing like China in key areas, to grow exports and create millions of new jobs.

By the way, our current factored in reserve for Minerals, etc, is $ 8 trillion. Only phase I is near $ 100 billion from 1 mine. We have 11 mining regions where work will be started for extracting the rest.

Kindly keep useless politics out of the thread. Nothing has started so its emotional outburst. Let's have an educated discussion.
Let's hope our economic planners don't mess up this opportunity.

Exciting news keep coming this year. 2028 will be the year of Pakistan's GDP growing much beyond it's current form. 2028 is also a year when we expect some big achievements in the military equipment manufacturing deals and we've already witnessed Saudi - Pakistan defense agreement which will start to see true force being implemented by 2028 with top notch equipment being acquired from China and other places. Similar focus has been given on Pakistan's minerals sector.

2028 will also be the year when Pakistan's mineral extraction will start to run in full swing on multiple projects, from exploration to testing to extraction and sales of standard Minerals, Gold and Rare Earth's, all activities will be taking shape across multiple regions bringing in billions of dollars worth of annual revenue for Pakistan and making us one of the fast growing economies in the world.

Please do watch the video to get updated on Minerals and Rare Earth's extraction timeline and SHARE your opinions, Regards.

I am happy that you are few Pakistanis that confidence in our politicians and civil service. Most of us know that our politicians and civil service corrupt and incompetent.

I know Pakistan a LOT more than you probably do. This time is different in reality. Otherwise if it was like before, I'd share my skepticism also.

There is solid effort being put in. Had this effort got put in 10 or 20 years ago, we would be in top 20 economies going towards top 15. And I mean it. Let's hope and pray the hard work is paid off and efforts give Pakistan what it needs to grow.

World's top defense departments like the DoD, Russian MoD and Chinese counter parts use Antimony and a few other rare earth elements a lot in any advance weapons manufacturing, whether its their BVR, WVR, Ballistic, Cruise missiles or stand off munitions. Many of these rare earth's are used in advance electronics manufacturing, from Radars to both active and passive sensors of any kind. That's why China restricted the access and that's also why the US is so keep to build a relationship based on trade and people to people with Pakistan so its defense industry doesn't come to a full halt if China stopped providing these rare earth's beyond Antimony.

So the US defense research and development will have a dependency on Pakistan to get these elements outside of the primary source that's also their major competitor, China.

Future's 100% defense technology is build by using Rare Earth elements. This is the new Gold for advance and hi-tech industries from EV to Electronics (Mobile, Laptops, Hi-Speed Servers, Computers, Tablets, TV's, Microwaves, other home appliances), aviation to Defense.

It's estimated that Pakistan has 4th largest Shale oil reserves in the world. This will be confirmed by in the next few months. I know that by 2028 the work on extraction of Oil will start on phase 1.

Pakistan's raw materials may be worth trillions. Global powers and investors are racing to tap its copper, gold, and antimony. As China and the US compete for critical minerals, Pakistan is courting global investors. Can it turn resources into real prosperity?

Unless the raw minerals are processed in Pakistan, we will see only a sliver of it. The recent deal with US is an example. Which says "This cooperation lays the foundation for scaling up towards the establishment of a USSM proprietary, highly flexible poly-metallic refinery in Pakistan". Means only if all things go well they may scale up to it, no guarantee and no real timeline.

We need smelting plants, refineries, secondary support industries, stable electric grid and supply, security.

Mere export of raw ore will make some individuals rich but not the country.

Absolutely agreed. Let's hope we can involve Saudis and China.

This is for those Indians that claim that their neighborhood is poor.
There are a lot of untapped reserves in south asia, the thing is that extraction and processing is very costly. Plus if you give contract to a 3rd party then you will just see a portion of the profits.

There have been many instances of projects being halfway deemed unsustainable.

Right now India is in talks with a rebel group in Myanmar for access to rare earth minerals from what I've read.
