I don't dispute any of this, but there is benefit in having a sovereign control over critical military tech, at least one that are within grasps.

If the deal involves that we essentially own the IP and total operational freedom where it essentially becomes our own product I don't mind, but if not, I still feel it's disappointing if we are merely customers reliant on China, with some license to sell it.
At this point UcAVs aren’t critical tech.
All your critical tech that ensures survivability or assures destruction of your enemies is in house or at a minimum you get from the sources with no questions asked.

I trust Pak Fauj assessment of when X should be used. Whatever they used worked obviously without playing all their cards....India played ALL it's conventional cards and failed.

However some operational footage of CMs would have been nice....

I don't want to rub it in, but you guys are too late with the disappointment. Since last year I have been trying to wake up many on this forum with regards to missile development. I didn't used to get any response. It used to be a meh response.

I will repeat myself. Pakistan won't take any risk in testing and producing a high performance missile. Probably for a very long time to come in the future. After the Ababeel the Americans have been very irked. They haven't hidden their displeasure and even openly accused Pakistan of ill intent. Pakistan has even been accused of being able to strike US mainland. The Americans and especially the Israelis are very paranoid.

Since the Democrats piled the pressure before they left office and Trump took over, the general consensus is to lay low. You will see Fatah style missiles and iterations. Anything beyond this is deemed risky. I have a hunch that the decision makers are satisfied with Shaheen II. Anyone who is hoping for a hypersonic or MIRV missile needs to adjust their expectations. Such high performance missiles aren't coming anytime soon.

Our missile system naming convention is all messed up.
Fatah 1 and 2 are rocket systems, any new additions to this missile type should be the same type (rocket systems) not a cruise missile.

Naming Babur a nuclear tipped cruise missile as Fatah 4 is dangerous. How would the enemy know if the missile with the same radar signature and same launch system is a conventional system? They are not going to ask you what's the missile name or try to read it before deciding what kind of threat it is. A defensive missile system has threat libraries and assuming their AS400 has the radar signature of Babur, fatah 4 would trigger a nuclear launch in their defensive systems.

That's the problem with you kids these days, if it's not explained in a 10 sec tiktok or youtube clip is too much hard work lol

Both have their advantages and disadvantages. BrahMos has to climb all the way up to 40-50 K altitude to get to Mach 2-3. Makes the detection part easier at least.

On the other hand, if you have a sub-sonic system with very low altitude flight profile it's very much more likely to evade the radar detection. You miss detection you miss any chance of interception.

In my opinion, SCALP performed better than BrahMos in may. Although brahMos was much more used in numbers than SCALP - primarily through ground launchers.

There is nothing in South Asia that is as precise in its CEP as the storm shadow. It is v. Expensive but worth it given what it can do.

Calling this CM a Fatah, is silly, who ever thought of that needs to not be allowed to name anything else. This is a cruise missile and should have had a new unique name.

Fatah should have stayed as the name for missile/rocket based systems.

I am not a kid from any stretch of imagination and love to read and am an avid reader with my own small library but I don't want to read a 17 page post on a forum, I honestly got tired/frustrated just scrolling it to get to the next post.

You are right I don't spend more than a couple of seconds before i move to the next post. I only read posts which add knowledge or bring a new perspective or some troll fun to have a quick laugh.
