What I love about it is, we are having a BVR local system which we can improve and compete with our neighbor. We are on path of fast consolidation of Rocket Force ....verious ranges and capabilities to achieve multiple objectives ....Fatah series .....will continue to expand....InshaAllah
We are building it with the help of Turkey and China, various systems are being developed with in Visual range, BVR and ground to air defense systems based on these missiles. What I love about it is, we are having a BVR local system which we can improve and compete with our neighbor.
Alot of our Fatah 1s fired during operation banyan al marsoos were either intercepted or they fell "near" the target.
Though the extended range and enhanced speed is important for us, whats more beneficial is to decrease the CEP of the missiles.
A hypersonic, supersonic, or a subsonic missile with a CEP of 30 to 50 meters is less dangerous than a subsonic one with a CEP of 5-15 meters.
I believe a hypersonic kill vehicle/ payload can be far more than just a single impact kill vehicle. Since it will be virtually immune to enemy AD, it can be used as a high speed nuisance vehicle / bait to lure more and more enemy radars into emitting their positions by making multiple passes, which can then be effectively engaged by cheaper, stealthier smart SOWs.....Theoretically, this can be done. In reality, no one does this.
For any missile, the warhead is the component that ultimately delivers the actual combat effect; the other parts merely serve to transport it safely to the designated target.
Consequently, the ratio of the warhead to the missile as a whole is of critical importance. At the same time, the missile's overall weight and volume directly impact the safety and operational convenience of the missile system.
